@@BaldwinFanonGarveyTureShakurX I think it's a great book for a man to read. It's been a while since I last read it but I think she even mentions the fact that the majority of relationship books out there are for women. It would be good if there were more relationship books aimed at men.

I threw away my kindness all for the gratification of being seen as a real man by my peers and it was foolish and idiotic. If I could take it back I would. But it's lovely to see that this revelation has already been known by people far smarter than me. I hope more people listen to Bell Hooks before they even consider listening to Andrew Tate.

I will never forget a meeting in New York with a perfect stranger of another race discussing her books with me for hours in the mid early hours. He saw me with the book, Salvation and invited himself into my private world of solitude. It was a great conversation! He and I were great admirers of this great writer. Thank you bell hooks. The world will never forget you. You taught us so much about ourselves. For that, you are engraved in our hearts, soul and MIND!!!❤

I don't believe that everyone will enjoy the teachings of Bell Hooks, but my hope is that her message touches as many people as possible. I believe that Bell Hooks is modest, but she is also confident, positive and hopeful for the future. There is nothing wrong with that. I have read quite a few of her books and they have a lot to teach us. Read on people, read on.

Never heard of Bell Hooks here in the UK and I wonder why that is? This female feels like the kind of women that should be in the mainstream and I want to know more about her. Her education feels huge just from this one video and the host is doing a great job of allowing her to talk, we don't have much of that today. She came to my attention through Brene Brown and look forward to reading more about her teaching.

The 'culture of dominance' struck a chord with me as I think about the larger events currently taking place in many parts of the world. I wonder if there could be more work by hooks that can be relevant to the sociology of criminology.

rev. angel Kyodo Williams has a speech where she talks about "it's not all about love" and speaks about Bell Hooks a little. But it isn't a "Bell Hooks is wrong" thing, what she's talking about is what Ms Hooks says here "care is only one ingredient of love." "If someone is hurting you/abusing you they are not loving you." And she speaks also to the widespread abuse in our society. In that talk she names what Ms Hooks speaks about often in many of her books about one of those other ingredients. It's Justice. If we don't give justice there isn't room for love. If we don't have justice in our hearts we cannot really love.
