I have worked here since June In this sentence present perfect tense have been used to indicate a continuing situation. This is a state that started in the past and continues in the present (and will probably continue into the future). This is a situation (not an action). We usually use for or since with this structure. I have been working here since June. Here present perfect continuous tense is used to represent a past action continuing now.

Ma'am..I really enjoyed your class. You have covered the grammar aspects fully. If you stress the time markers like already, just , recently, lately etc, it would drive home the subtle difference between simple past & present Perffect tense. ( Tense itself points out the exact TIME of actions or state of verb) I admit you have mentioned time markers casually. This tense is bit complicated for beginners but Words fail to appreciate you about this class. Congrats..Best wishes.
