+1 excelente vídeo! Tb temos outros verbos similares como por ex. cogitar (Cogito, ergo sum) ou crer (Credo in Deum Patrem omnipotentem, Creatorem caeli et terrae...)! 🌿

Great video! However, I spotted one other thing. Please note that "to look forward to" takes the gerund form "...ing", not the infinitive form "to". Hence "I'm very much looking forward to going to the beach tomorrow, if the weather's good". Will send you some sentences later, when I have re-watched your beautiful video on my computer. Meantime, though I think it's always clear what you mean, I suggest collaborating with someone or even more than one person who is an educated native speaker of English, ideally with some knowledge of Portuguese, to write scripts with these minor glitches ironed out before your beautiful videos go out. I speak British English as a native, though my mother is Canadian and am a dual Canadian-UK citizen resident in the outskirts of Coimbra (studied Portuguese at the University to C1+ level). I'm happy to help at no charge with ironing out the English translation. I did teach English as a Foreign Language between 1991 and 1995 in Greece, and having lived in various countries have some knowledge of and speak at various levels French, Italian, Greek and Spanish with small spatterings of other languages. Praying for the salvation of all. Please forgive my sins, as all should forgive all, With love in Christ, Adrian, a sinful True Orthodox Christian layman. P.S. Please follow me on X/Twitter @adrianwhyatt, and then I can safely provide you with full contact details by direct message. Keep on producing your beautiful videos.

It should be "I think they're staying in the hotel" in this context.

@@learnportuguesewithsofia Please pardon me as I don't want to sound all negative about a wonderful video. Yes, the translation INTO (or IN) English. It will be clear to just about everyone what you mean. The golden rule for translators and interpreters, if the translation needs to be pretty much perfect is for it to be done by or checked by a native speaker of the language you are translating into. Better yet by more than one, to deal with issues of idialect (individual habits of speech). This isn't necessarily that well understood here in Portugal, as I discovered on the TAP flight (having done two weeks online of A1 from the University of Lisbon), my very first contact with written official Portuguese on Monday, August 17th 2020. My suggestions for corrections to the English on the landing card didn't spark corrective action. This also applies to official signposts, etc., e.g. referring to "the philosophy" rather than "philosophy". English is, amongst languages I know with a definite article, the odd one out here in not using a definite article. Sophia means wisdom in Greek. When it was built in the New Rome, Constantinople, Ayia Sophia, St. Sophia's, the Church was acknowledged as the greatest and largest cathedral in the world. Later a mosque, it still stands, and is in use, though it has needed repairs and maintenance throughout the centuries. So, let's fix these tiny problems, sophisticated and wise Sophia (Sofia), producing a masterpiece in its own field to match and even exceed Ayia Sophia! Beijinhos!
