When choosing a shock for the Axial Wraith SpawnZilla Build, I wanted the best. Pro-Line's PowerStroke shocks have been around for a while and I have used them on so many applications, that it just made sense to fit a new set to the Legendary SpawnZilla Build.

    Another small tip for building shocks. When bleeding the shocks, fit the lower spring cup and that will give you that extra bit of oil to maximise performance.

    They should do pretty well - I'd make sure the length is what you need though as well as the spring rate (they have a tuning kit with other spring rates)

    What do you think of the prospecs ?

  • @edwardselesky6620

    Fairly new to RC Crawling, running a Traxxas Defender fully detailed and weighted. Stock shocks w/supplied 10wt oil won't handle the weight, 21lbs. Ordered 2 sets of dual rate proline shocks (6316-02). Suggested by proline to use a 70wt oil, seems a little heavy to me. Would you suggest maybe starting with something a little lighter such as a 50wt. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. Great video!!!

    What do you think about the proline scaler shocks for a scx10?

  • @TheRCNetwork

    @TheRCNetwork

    9 жыл бұрын

    Cooldibs Great choice! They're a direct bolt on (I run them on mine, also my RC4WD Gelande2). I have seen regular powerstrokes on scx10's too, just depends on the amount of dampening - The scalers have a smaller bored shock body

  • @TheRCNetwork

    @TheRCNetwork

    +Devin Hunsperger The Pro-Specs are all around better. you have a ton of tuning options right in the bag since they provide several different pistons. The pro-specs are also smoother

    The RCNetwork I haven't looked at them the whole landy is heavy just over 6 kilos as it's a hard body and interior everything on the chassis is metal and with luggage rack and light bar it's heavy I have scx10 piggyback shocks on them at the moment and they don't sit all the way down on to the links I am going to try firmer springs on them first but I will have a look at the prolines though

    HELLO THERE I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHERE TO PUT THE TEAM ASSOC GREEN SLIME ON TH E PRO LINE POWER STROKE XT SHOCKS ?

  • @TheRCNetwork

    @TheRCNetwork

    4 жыл бұрын

    Green slime goes inside the cartridge of the shock where the o-rings/X-rings are. Once you remove the spring perch and spring, remove the bottom eyelet and then the bottom cap - apply a generous amount of green slime inside the cartridge

  • @TheRCNetwork

    These Powerstrokes were intended for the Traxxas Slash 4x4, so they're a direct bolt on for that model....Pro-Line does have a "universal mounting kit" for them that includes a swivel: bit.ly/3nUv8Rb

    Why didn't you use the Proline ScalerShocks?

  • @TheRCNetwork

    @TheRCNetwork

    9 жыл бұрын

    spellward The SpawnZilla will tip the scales at over 10 lbs once complete. The scalers are just a bit too narrow for the rig, and will most likely overheat. I was tempted to go with the Pro-Specs (even larger bore than the PS) but didn't want that plastic eyelet on the cap

    i was under the impression that you dont want any rebound when pushed in the whole way. that indicates air still in the shock.

  • @TheRCNetwork

    @TheRCNetwork

    6 жыл бұрын

    TO a certain degree. minimal rebound is desirable, but in bladder shocks. like these, it's almost impossible. If you run shocks that are bladderless or emulsion, it's much easier to have zero rebound

    Will the PowerStroke SC Universal Hardware Kit fit into my Axial Wraith? or I still need others kit? eyeball etc..??

  • @TheRCNetwork

    @TheRCNetwork

    8 жыл бұрын

    +Yisrā'el Yaʿakov You'll just need the top center item in the picture: www.prolineracing.com/images/products/6063-05.jpg The stock Wraith shocks, I believe come with a version of that, but you will have to space the shock a bit more away from the mount as the PowerStroke shocks are a bit larger diameter than the stock shocks. I used some RC8B3e shock stand offs and they fit perfect on my SpawnZilla build.
