@@SunroseStudios In Mexico, provided you don't commit further crimes in the escape it is perfectly legal and has been done. it's part of freedom being a basic right. Whilst I think full prison abolition is better that is a good basic start.

I have an even better prison idea. You see, if you don't imprison the prisoner then the prisoner won't have a prison to escape from, it is impossible to escape a prison when you are not imprisoned, meaning you can't escape meaning this is the best prison in all of minecraft.

if we wanted to make an "inescapable" prison, the prison would not need to be *technically* inescapable, it would only need to be *practically* inescapable. Remember who is doing the escaping/rescuing; it's not an AGI with infinite time, it's a human. Humans get bored, and tired, and have only a finite amount of time to play the game. So one prison that would never be escaped would be a gigantic block of obsidian that stretches so far in every direction that it would take the prisoner their entire irl lifespan to break out (some modifications would be needed to stop the prisoner from bringing items or being able to mine upwards, but the prison would be simpler to build than any *technically* inescapable prison). Though the giant obsidian prison would probably take an almost equally stupid amount of time to construct in survival.

unfortunately a giant block of obsidian is horrible in that metric since the effort it takes to build is proportional to the length squared. if we don't allow infinite time to break out, the easiest way to increase it would be to add a button with some binary counter, and add like 1000 bits. you just have to make sure that it's the only escape method

lol I have a better idea. Introducing... *GLASS CUP!* Now you don't even NEED a Jeremy to stay there, just to imprison them. Now you have ZERO escape methods and they can still visit!

This is indeed flawless logic, however, you failed to consider two things. First, the wasps can be prevented from killing Jeremy by hiring a second person to hold a flower next to them. Because wasps are related to bees, they will simply hover harmlessly around the second person, keeping Jeremy safe. This doesn't patch the escape, however, since the wasps don't need to be the ones to kill Jeremy to free the prisoner. They can hire someone else to do it, such as a bear. This is known as bear glitch, there is no way to plan around the possibility of wasps hiring a bear. Jeremy cannot fight off a bear even if he wasn't required to ensure the prisoner doesn't escape. Furthermore, there is an additional, related escape plan that cannot be patched. See, Jeremy's loyalty can be bought for the right price, and the wasps simply need to outbid you. Because wasps have no concept of money and no real need of it, they have an inherent advantage on this front, since they will always use all the funds available, while you cannot do the same. This means that there are at least two possible escape plans.

It looks like that the wasp is actually invading a bee's nest, so Jeremy is actually imprisoning an invader, so the bees won't attack Jeremy. Reasons why I realized it was a wasp attacking a bee's nest: 1. The clip showing the wasp nest doesn't have the same colouring as when Jeremy trapped the wasp. 2. The bee nest has a tree on some stone slabs, whereas the wasp nest is just a big pile of paper pulp. 3. The wasp being imprisoned is surrounded by bees which look like honey bees, instead of similar looking wasps. 4. The insects around the trapped wasp are not attacking Jeremy, so that must mean they think the threat is gone. I do realize that Jeremy could not get to a wasp nest without being stung to death, but I just wanted to clarify this for the people who say that bees are "terrifying". If you are not near a wasp nest but encounter a wasp, don't run away in panic, it only attacks when provoked. If you are near any hornet, get out of the vicinity as fast as you can, by any means necessary.

Seriously, if you want to imprison a wasp, you take a bottle, make a small hole in the cap using a pen, and pour in a bit of something sweet. Wasp senses sugar, comes in, but the way in which walls of the hole bend, it cannot go out. In best case scenario, it'll drown in the liquid.

This is really funny to watch without understanding what minecraft video's it's referencing.

but... wasps aren't bees... why would anybody be afraid of bees... they don't attack at random. Wasps are similar, except they attack when you get near the nest. Bees die within a few hours of stinging you, so they will avoid stinging at all costs.

@michew5451 fair, i think it's a mix of childhood stuff and just an irrational fear. i hope it gets better with time as with my fear of the dark, like now not only do i not fear it but i actually enjoy it! well, for the most part- if im already in a creeped out mood i am scared of it but overall it's fine

Why wouldn't you just put the entire wasp nest in one gigantic plastic cup, leading not a single wasp to be able to get away from the ''imprisoned'' territory, leading the entire colony to starve out and die?
