Greetings from Florida! I just completed a mechanical refresh of my Spas12 a few weeks ago. I used the o-rings from a Remington 1100 and a replacement recoil buffer ordered online. Other than that it mostly just needed cleaning and lubrication. Works 100% perfect in semi auto even with light birdshot! What an amazing firearm! I was also amazed by the restoration you were able to do with this one. But one thing I did not see is a replacement rubber shock absorber for the folding stock. I have heard that it is important to prevent it from cracking again after a lot of shots and heavy recoil. I actually don’t know where to find a replacement but perhaps you could make one if you can find the specifications. Ciao!

Excellent job once again. I'm sure you're already aware, but just to be safe, be careful of those flip safeties as they have a tendency to fail and have the potential to fire a round when turning off the safety. Had it happen to me at one point and I haven't fired my spas since, even after having it serviced.

I own a SPAS-12 Semi-Automatic Shotgun. I love this weapon so much. It's too bad that the B.A.T.F. Banned the Importation of this type of Shotgun. Though a bit heavy, it does make for an intimidating firearm. ❤

Yes. This shotgun has the best of both worlds. Obviously, like in every gun created and put to mass production (except for this shotgun due to being expensive), you can only use one mode but what's important is that, again, it has the best of both worlds.

Yes. This Shotgun was designed for Police/ Anti Terrorist units. The Pump action mode was for when you were firing None Lethal Ammunition, such as Gas cartridges or mini Bean Bag. Because the Weapon was Gas operated, sub caliber Ammunition would not have sufficient energy to operate the working parts in semi Auto, so the user would have to switch over. Full power Ammunition, no problem it would run in semi mode all day.

dude you should change the Safety of the Spas 12 to a Crossbolt safety because their was an issue back in the day in which the lever safety is not reliable, if you play with the lever safety more often the Shotgun would go off to fire that is why, a lot of spas 12 shotguns were recalled to replace the lever safety to the crossbolt safety for the spas 12 Here is the Video about what I mentioned: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fqCVsc6qcqaTqaQ.html P.S. i'm just concerned because I remembered the Issue of this shotgun

For law enforcement use. Sometimes they would use non lethal or less than lethal ammunition that wouldn’t have enough power to cycle it in semi auto.

The design is a bit complex, and most Turkish designs use box magazines instead of tubes, because why not?
