I think it’s odd that Perez is a Spartan IIIs. Spartan IIIs we’re still augmented as children, so this is like some weird mix between Spartan IIIs and Spartan IVs.

I'm definitely with you on that, I'm honestly thinking that these Spartans are more like Spartan IVs. Would make more sense, as I don't believe they've had any augmentations

I think some have been training longer then others but they are definitely getting all the recruits they can from newly glassed worlds

I really appreciate you giving a genuine review unlike some other channels and viewers that jump on the train of, "It's not a 1:1 copy of Halo form the games so the show is bad". Yes the show does have its issues, but overall it is interesting. This episode in particular had amazing costume design, CGI and plot, so I would also rate it 8/10.

I really hope perez becomes a mainstay in the story. She has the most apeal to me as she is an original character that doesnt fall under the tradition of "spartan" in silver timeline.

Yes and I loved how the priest was part of the 'Mdama clan. I think the Spartan IIIs will most likely die in the next episode, especially with it being titled "Thermopylae"

It’s nice to hear someone have their own opinion on the show. I agree I thought this episode was more good than bad Overall it was a good episode with enough action and story for the next episodes to be also good

If you remember in halo 3. The covenant dug in Africa on earth to get to the portal to the ark. That portal could fit entire fleets....

One of the main issue with the show is how easy anyone can manipulate anyone. Kai should have no logical reason to doubt john halo, he's been telling the. That the covenant was on reach since the beginning amd he was the reason they even stoped makee on season 1. Parangosky and akerso are utter morons with the logic they use "oh yeah lets betray our best soldiers and get a large portion of the unsc armt destroy, even though the most inteligent A.I keeps telling us that our chances at winning are low".

Episode 6 was great

All the costume work and props are just super top notch. I just despise how much they're beating chief up. Im just waiting till they finally give him his moment in the story, this story anyways.

Agreed, and I'm hoping that's the last we see of him getting knocked down. Once he's in the armour he should be back to kicking ass. I think that's where we're going in the next ep anyway!

I actually like the show. In a bubble, if I didn’t even know what Halo was, I would think it’s thoroughly entertaining.

Ghosts of onyx is my favorite halo book so seeing the SIII’s was a real treat for me I’d love to see more stuff explored with them like I’d love at least a mention to operation Prometheus and Torpedo

Spartans 3 the suicide squad of the Halo universe.

The spartan 3s had some of the most badass missions in the lore, the headhunters, noble team, alpha and beta company, etc. And they give us a small women that barely knew how to shoot a gun SPI armor 😂. This show is hilarious

Agreed, Battlestar vibes from this one in terms of the engaging character drama and amazing visuals.

My only problem with this episode was the fact that the Spartan III's were war orphans who volunteered at the age of 6 - 7 not adults and where is noble 6 b312 he could do the job on his own what there training to do lol

Yep that was my big gripe with Ep 5. I didn't like how they glossed over the fall of reach. That was pretty disappointing imo.

Reach was a lost cause it seems like the whole fleet jumping in. is on onyx i personally i think the reason or one of the reasons why reach lasted for months. was thanks to spartans.

For once I would give it 8 out of 10. It was really good

Really nice hearing someone enjoy this show. It's rare for me to see that. I know why Halo fans hate it, but as a Halo fan, despite my problems with it, I enjoy this show a lot.

They screwed the whole episode over for me during the first 3 minutes lol. The S-III team leader fired off a burst without looking at what she was shooting at and on top of that her weapon was pointed at the ceiling. The attention to detail was lacking.

That stone ring is also kind of reminiscent of what the cartographer in CE looked like. I could be completely misremebering, but it was my first thought.

So Thel ‘Vadam is already the arbiter in the Halo series? Or we his calling him the Arbiter because we know it’s him? Haven’t seen the season 2 yet, sorry. Great video and breakdown, I like your takes on the show

Its the most "Halo" episode so far

Haters keep that yuck bag energy show is peak and were not even halfway there yet

After the mess of the filler last week, this was interesting, especially with the Arbiter scene. I still cant believe we're still seeing that lovely Keystone touchin' artifact tho lmao

Season 2 is better than season 1, but the biggest issue so far this season is everything is small. All the fights have been in corridors and stuff no major battle scenes

It was one of the weaker episodes in my opinion but i liked what it set up. Sick of my Chief being out of his armor though it's been 3 damn episodes now it's gettinf ridiculous

The plot makes even less sense by the end of this episode than it did before. The same is true for 'reach'. But both episodes have some action so it's suddenly 'solid'?

@@FootedGhost any reason for chief and his squad to be abandoned on reach lost all sense when they took Kai anyway. And why would they leave their army behind to die? When I've asked this before the answer I got was that the UNSC didn't want any survivors spilling the beans on their defeat, yet they accept survivors with open arms, and even make them Spartans, according to this episode. Or how about the fact that they Told Kai that the covenant was in fact at the relay, like chief claimed, and a bunch of other stuff that corroborated his story, and the writers just forget that this should be a little sus.

@@existentialselkath1264 That was because of ONI, Ackerson wanted Kai and Kai alone, he was hoping the rest of Silver Team, Chief included would die on Reach. I do have problems with the way the fall of Reach was done. This is one of those problems, ONI left the planet to die for no reason, especially when Reach is their 2nd biggest colony world. I can 100% see them using survivors of Reach, as those people would already hate the Covenant, similar to Perez. Kai was easily manipulated by Ackerson, that's what I'm boiling that last bit down to. She should be smarter than that but my only guess is that it was done to build tension between her and Chief.

@@FootedGhost that doesn't answer the question though. A character doing something is not a reason for it to happen. WHY does Ackerson want this? I can't write a story where Chief can't just randomly turn around and kill a hundred marines because he wanted to. There's got to be a reason as to why, and for a plot point that's at the foundation of the season it's shockingly incoherent.

@@FootedGhost if it's because chief isn't loyal, that's a result of them lying to his face about his own experiences (that would have been backed up by his helmet cam that's never acknowledged). Something they only do because they've already decided to get rid of him for some reason. If it's because Ackerson can't stand Halsey or her creations, why would he want Kai at all? If he just needs 1 spartan no matter what, take the best of them. And you can find an actual reason for getting rid of them. Leaving them to get wiped out for no reason makes no sense. Send them on a suicide mission and deal some damage while you're at it. This is a fight for survival and Ackerson just doesn't seem to care.

They need new writers for sure.. they had sooo much potential and just fumbled the griffball.

No… it really wasn’t. 1.) How did Chief sneak onto a super secretive ONI base but can’t escape the secretive ONI base without help from Cortana. 2.) Why did they let him lay there for about 10 minutes before Ackerson sends in spec ops? 3.) Why is what’s her name still a plot point? 4.) I thought Kai was the only Spartan to actually defend Chief in the first season but now she’s just as brain washed as the others.

The writing is lazy and full of plot holes. Kai would already know everything considering Perez was with Chief and Ackerson himself literally admits the Covenant was on Reach and Mickey helped her... so when John told her they were there, he was obviously telling the truth. Also, Mickey is dead... But we're 6 episodes in with no explanation.

I was so mad at the spartan 3 in this show. Those are not spartans! No Augmentations and poor training and no discipline. Perez could barely hold a gun for christ sake ......

Perez was an awful fighter on sanctuary why is she now a spartsnn

This was not 8/10 christ almighty. GOT has 8/10 and 9/10 episodes and no episode of this show is on par with GOT.
