Spartan Battle | 1,200 vs 10,000 Persian Immortals - Epic Cinematic Total War Battle

The Spartan warriors march to oppose the Persian king Xerxes and his Immortals in an epic battle between nations of the ancient world. During this time, political disagreements between the Greeks stopped them from uniting against a common foe which at that time was the Persian Empire. The Persians were threatening the very existence of the Greek world. It was the Spartan king, Leonidas who decided to take 1,260 of his finest warriors including his personal bodyguards and meet the Persians face to face. The Spartans want to deliver a clear message to Xerxes that they will not submit to his reign. Xerxes sends his 10,000 Immortals to meet with the famed Spartans and so two legends clash against each other. As the Spartans march towards the shore on Greek soil, the weather turns to storm. With many of the Persian ships crashing in the sea, only the Immortals managed to disembark on land. Still outnumbering the Spartans almost 10 to 1, Xerxes orders his Immortals to attack and crush the Greeks. The Spartan shield wall is ready to face the Persians.
This battle is not historically accurate. Battle realized using Rome 2 Total War with the TWMC's 300 reskin and Xerxes and The Persians 2.2 mods.

@@ralphgreenjr.2466 I have the utmost respect for ancient Greeks. Also for the Greeks that fought Greece's war for independence. And also for the Greek monks on Mount Athos. I just finished Conn Iggulden’s historical novel “The Gates of Athens” the first in a series of historical novels about Athens. This first one takes you from the Battle of Marathon to the Battles of Thermopylae & Artemisium. The telling of Thermopylae is very descriptive and gives Honor to the Spartans, the Non-Spartans who lived around Sparta and the Thespians, both of whom willingly stayed behind with King Leonidas. There are (so far) two other books in the Athenian Series: “Protector”, which I am reading now, takes the reader up to the Battle of Plataea. The third novel, “The Lion” explores Athens at it’s Apogee.

I did, it was my body! Of course in a previous incarnation. We fought like lions, just as the Trojans did earlier, and I was there too, our target, Xerxes himself. Aah, if I could have got close enough to take him out that fine day, or just to put the fear of God in him, and see the fear in his eyes. The other thing I recall was the ineptitude and tyranny of the priests, who didn't wish to get their hands dirty on a religious festival. They knew nothing of what made Sparta great, the austerity, discipline, the obedience, the strength of will, the fastidious nature to detail, the willingness to die for your virtues and country, and thus the deepest desire to serve. It is such virtues that can bestow upon a man the gift and crown of eternal life, thus fear not physical death, for it is a mere passing into another kind of life, not so far away from this earth, although the man whom constantly, vigilantly, and diligently seeks and serves truth itself, must one day enter into the Kingdom of Paradise. This requires dedication to the virtues, by which any man, upon his wheel of reincarnation, can raise himself up to the blessed fields, and come to know of the one true God, priest, or no priest. In fact, I would rather not speak of priests at all!!!

So from Sparta, to the Nile, and back to the British Isles, and beyond, I know now why they hate me, simply because they hate life itself. What a group of spoil sport misery guts!!!!!!!!!!!! I would not like to be the physician, Hippocrates, Galen, Asclepion, or otherwise, who was tasked to sort their livers out. I really wouldn't. A Greek Traitor Ephialtes was an ancient Greek, son of Eurydemos. As Herodotus mentions, he presented himself to Xerxes and showed him the narrow passage that led from Mount Kallidromos to Thermopylae, and he undertook to lead the Persians from there, so as to strike from the rear the Spartans of Leonidas (480 BC). The Persians pushed back the Phocaeans and surrounded the Greeks. Nightmare had fulfilled his role. For this deed the Persian emperor gave him a large monetary reward. When the Persians were defeated and left Greece, the Delphic Amphictyonia proclaimed him in return for a monetary reward and therefore Ephialtes fled to Thessaly. When, after years, he returned to his homeland, Antikyri (near Sperchios River, Herodotus writes, therefore today's Lamia), he was murdered. The man who killed him was a Trachinian (modern Heraklia Phthiotides), Athenades, who according to Herodotus recognized him.

Here’s the real story if you do wanna learn! There were only a handful of spartan citizens at thermopylae, they were known as the hippeis or as the spartan royal guards. There were 300 spartan bringing with them 3 helots (slaves) with them each 300x3=900 which makes the total of spartan warriors 1200, now there were not only 1200 spartans! There alot, alot of other greeks too. Modern estimates say around 7200 greeks participated in the battle of thermopylae, and on the persian side 150000-250000.

VIVA MEXICO. YO CREO QUE EN LA HISTORIA DE SU PAIS TAMBIEN HAY EJEMPLOS DE CORAJE Y PATRIOTISMO SALUDOS.

There were actually 7000 Greeks led by 300 Spartans. Scouts reported back to Xerxes that before the battle the Spartans were bathing. A general ridiculed this and was corrected. He was told Spartans only groom themselves when preparing to die.

What your book is reffering is the number of soldiiers that went to the specific field to fight. But at a meeting, seeing the number of Persians, they decided to gother more troops and make a stand at Corinth wich was a very narrow passing giving them the advantage. So the 1000 stayed to give them the time needed.

today wars are remote but in the old days death was hatred - eye to eye while skinning the enemy.... that must have been terribly terrifying and horrible to see. The scene was blood and pain and the madness that people arrived to defend the will of their kingdoms, Kings and their Gods. today this still happens, but i wonder if it would be worth dying for my country or government.... Palace would be well fed and protected ready to negotiate reissues if he fails or happy if he wins.

The spartan's were invisible because they developed standing together (later the Romans copied the Spartans in battle formation). Their spears were longer, and protected each other by standing close together or side by side. They also had a shield and a sword, but mainly fought off the Medes and Persian million man army or at least killed over 60,000 of the million man army by King Xerxes. Xerxes was a madman, he spared no one. He had a bridge built by tying ships together long side and then had a road built on top, but a dreadful storm came and destroyed the boats, and this nut king, had the heads of his own architects chopped off and thrown into the sea, and had his other men beat the water (I mean he really had his men strike the water as punishment) he was nuts and greed with power. The 300 were betrayed by a Greek. The Spartans were surrounded as the Medes went up the mountain through a trail and came down behind them. They were mighty warriors frontal but had nothing to help them from behind. But imagine how 300 fought off a million invaders, and killed nearly 60,000 of Xerxes' troops, even his elite guards wiped out. When Xerxes, finally got to the city, there was no one there, so he burned it to the ground. Except the larger building is still there but never rebuilt again, not even by the Romans. Xerxes, never was able to conquer Greece! All this was predicted by Daniel, a Jew who was captured by the Babylonians and lived in Babylon till Cyrus the Mede and Darius took over. After that the Medes and Persians conquered more territory then the Babylonians ever did. They fulfilled the prophecy of Nebuchadnezzar dream of the immense image, that the King saw in his dream. The head of gold was Nebuchadnezzar, the arms of silver were the Medes and Persians, the copper thighs was Greece, the legs of Iron, was Roman Empire and the feet is the Anglo/American World Power. The feet is mixed with Iron (government) and clay (people against the government and laws). A stone comes flying out of a mountain and it crushes the feet of that immense image and God's Kingdom begins it's ruler ship over the earth. Daniel foretold about that Kingdom in Daniel 2:44.

They were called Immortals by Herodotus because if one died then another man would become one of them, so their numbers always remained the same (10,000). It had nothing to do with lions, crazy.

“MOLON LABE”🌺. This actual phrase was spoken by the immortal “King Leonidas” of the Diarchy of Sparti ( Sparta) on August 20, 480 BC at the Battle of Thermopylae in Northern ELLAS (Greece), where 300 LACEDAEMONIANS ( Spartans )…. the heroic vanguard of 300 to 1,000 other ferocious volunteer warriors from neighboring Thespia…..held off nearly a million enemy barbarian Persian invaders for nearly 3 days. That eerie evening before their “final battle”, Persian spies were shocked, documenting a strange act of defiance to their leader back in the Persian encampment ….”that these warriors were seen “dancing to their …”THEI” ( the Olympian Gods ) …Their ultimate Joy… knowing they would “Dine In ADIS” ( Hell) the following day. The Final Battle that early morning began … the Hellenic Heroes ..when demanded to lay down their arms, in typical Spartiate (Spartan) hubris, King Leonidas shouted back, in his Tsakonian dialect….>…”MOLON LABE” ( “LABE” pronounced “LAVE” ). …”COME”….”TAKE” translated in today’s…“COME AND TAKE THEM” …to the Persian invaders under Persian King Xerxes… without question …”the greatest military stand off in all of History”. Note: This infamous line was reborn by the defenders of Texan Independence. (POSTSCRIPT MOLON LABE is Pronounced…. “moh-LOHN’ …lah-VEH’ “. , (second syllable is accentuated in each word). It is the Motto of the “United States Special Operations Command Central” and the battle cry of Patriots of All Nations in the World today and the main Inspiration for Our United States 2nd Amendment.) …I stand proud of my Hellenic Bloodline.

The 300 Spartans are always remembered, but it is only fair to recognize the other soldiers who refused to retreat as the 700 Hespians and 400 Thebans. Furthermore, helots, slaves of the Spartans, who also sacrificed themselves in that battle, have never been reported.
