I disovered eaten by the monster of love in valley girl a couple of years ago when i hadnt seen it since like 83-84 high school year i think, which in my opinion is by far the best song these guys did. The part in Valley Girl where the song plays, along with the intro to the movie song by is PERFECT EDITING..( most of the obscure songs in valley girl by Bonnie hays are some INCREDIBLE songs. ) .Great show. Lol..I was into Michael Jackson, Cheap Trick, Hall and Oates, Pat Benatar lol.. then new wave, alternative rock starting playing more on MTV, and I was hooked! Now MTV keeps playing that Ridiculousness show over and over or some movie with music. What's the point of MTV still being on? The first time I saw MTV was in '81, Huey Lewis and the News was on.. I thought that's the strangest name for a music group! Lol.

Can we talk about Russell's voice? He goes from falsetto to bass to tenor. Able to adapt to all genres, pop rock punk. Amazing instrument. Plus his genuine buoyant friendly open personality. And smart!

They actually recorded an album in 1969, produced by Todd Rundgren. But at that time the band's name was Half Nelson, I believe.
Just love Ron.

Mr gahloot, it is you I Salute...!
1982! The year I graduated, and I never heard of these guys until the mid 80s! Lol.

What's the point of miming? You can tell it's mimed since it's identical to the track itself
There from California. But they reminded me of a polish or Netherlands band certainly not American
This band scares the shit out of me. So creepy.

I played in a band in Calgary and one of the other bands had a guy (guitarist and backup singer) whose facial expressions made people watch him. Kind of interesting, but added nothing to the music. Here it works somewhat.
That golden suit is really the worst but the guys are both so cute and funny.....

I don't know if there's an expression in English, but in Swedish we've got "allt klär en skönhet" = anything becomes a beauty. I don't know... But anyway 😉😉😉😂 Oh Russell... 💕In this case a victim of the eighties.
They're not from England.

um... i'm pretty sure they are playing along with a track. the vocals, the drum playing (doesn't hit the cymbals very hard and when he does he chokes it) and the sound of the drums that cannot be reproduced on a percussion set (7:34 and 7:36), and the fade out. this is totally not live and I think Ron does not like it...
