Crying just watching this :( I remember listening to this years ago and it has got me through so many dark times. I hope mark knew just how much his music meant to so many people. We miss you X

Mark was such a down-to-earth, cool guy in addition to being a brilliant singer/songwriter with his own sound! RIP!!!!!

I always looked forward to everything he brought out with great anticipation. When I learned of his death I remember thinking 'that's one less thing to look forward to in life'. Remarkable man.

This is such a great version of the song.

hes literally on like, a three piece kit too. the amount of creativity and feeling you need to have to make that kit work is insane. its weird how music does this big circle all the way back to simple stuff being the most interesting.

I've discovered Mark Linkous a couple of weeks ago thanks to Trentemoller and today Mark reminded me of Jason Molina in numerous ways. He shot himself in the heart on March 5th 2010. I highly recommend “the sad beautiful world of sparklehorse” article by pitchfork.

His life was a tragedy, and he was destitute and alone by the end. “The sad beautiful world of sparklehorse” tells the whole heartbreaking story. He was a survivor. But everyone has a breaking point. He was a good man. But what’s beautiful to you was pain, humiliation and heartbreak for him.
