To be fair to Kepa, he has been excellent since coming back. Some players can't deal with being the most expensive in their position. He needed to be dropped, so he could be out of the limelight and now he is back

@@TheBrentfordHive Southampton villa MOTM in both and won both penalty shoot outs also Tottenham twice and few champions league starts so as Chelsea fans were aware he was back to his best but mendy was keeping him out the team. We wanted kepa to get more game time this season cos at times mendy was weak on the ball but ill admit I didn't think he was gonna be this good

People forget how young he was. He's still only 28 which is when keepers start to come into their prime. Schmeichel joined Man United at 28, Seaman joined Arsenal at 27, Nigel Martyn joined Leeds at 29. David James went through a rough spell at Liverpool then started to improve after he joined Villa at 29.

Kepa is really a good communicator. His confidence is back and he is having an amazing season.

Legit the manager jokes but I think he could end up being one because I’ve seen him multiple times motivating the players well too

I love Kepa, such a wholesome guy

To be honest I’ve never seen a player be so supportive towards his team, after being dropped. Happy he’s getting his chance again.

He was very young for a goalkeeper when Chelsea got him in and people forget that, now he’s had time to mature and develop with a competitive club im glad he’s hit confidence again, at a good age too

As soon as we got potter, I knew kepa will be no 1 as he is really comfortable with the ball but my god he has been excellent. Just love it. Hope this is the season where he can turn around completely and be one of the best goalkeeper again.

they don't always say the sound "jay" like the G in "manager" because spanish language have almost no word using that sound. the closest to "G/jee" is the "LL" like in "sevilla" which some spanish would say "sebi-ja", or "cucurella" = "cucurei-ja". so then question is, why does kepa not use "mana-her" then? because "manayer" sounds closer to manager.

Mendy was hardly stopping anything for a long time. He also has the worst decision making I’ve seen in a footballer. He cost us just as many points as kepa did during leaps worst period. Kepa is overall a better keeper. Mendy was the worst keeper in the league for a while.

@@JnoPrds that's not true at all. You either weren't a Chelsea fan in 2019 or you have a very short memory. Kepa was far worse and for far longer. Mendy has been patchy for a few months and made some big mistakes in some massive games. So Kepa deserves to be starting now and deserves to keep his place unless he slips up himself. It's Mendy's turn to be patient just as Kepa was. But it's incomparable Mendy has never been the worst keeper in the league and Kepa genuinely has. Kepa was a write off who needed the months on the sideline to reflect and improve. If we started playing Mendy now he'd still be solid. He's probably already had enough time aside to reset but now it's Kepa's brilliant form that's keeping him out the team. If you genuinely believe Mendy has been worse than Kepa was you need to take another look at our defensive record at the time and stats like their save percentages to get some perspective.
