Spanish Beaches Forced to Close After HUGE Shark Spotted

A popular Spanish tourist beach was forced to shut after sightings of a large hammerhead shark swimming near the shore.
Footage released by Spanish police shows the two-metre-long shark swimming near Melenara Beach in Gran Canaria.
Beachgoers were enjoying the weather on a busy Saturday when several swimmers saw the shark near the shore.

… because people have been trained to fear everything and act accordingly. Easy to control and easy to predict behavioural patterns. Win win.

It was hunting in the shallow water, probably after a ray or something. Screaming for nothing.

I had a huge shark hit my prop offshore of Panama several decades ago. If the shark is in the mood, it will hit anything that moves.

Hammerheads are not a threat to humans. I've dived with hundreds of them in the Galápagos. Beautiful animals.

Nah...not while on shore. You're very much safe, actually. Sharks don't run fast. They actually don't run. At all. 😏 (Yeah, I get what you were referring to.)
