Damn, that last group must be the most trained out of Spain's whole military. Natural disasters through NBCR, fire fighting, search and rescue, all weather, all conditions, and basically counter terror as well. Talk about wearing many hats. MEU sounds like good troop. ❤

Army uses majority German stuff, the Air Force are European and the Navy is from USA. there are lot of exceptions but more or less you can imagine.

Es obvio que se construyen aquí pero eso no significa NADA el LEopardo 2E se fabrica en España por Santa BArbara Sistemas y todos sabemos que es un tanke alemán.

The problem of the armed forces of "non belligerent" countries and/or non arsenals producers, is that those forces are limited and their duration and effectiveness is very limited in case of an hypothetical confrontation with a major power and we have recent examples of it. Anyway, no war will disturb Spain in the next 100 years (at least). Nevertheless Spanish Armed Forces are, undoubtedly, an important edded value for NATO group of countries.

The "circumnavigation" happened by accident, it was not programmed. When Magellan (Magalhães in portuguese) was killed in the Philippines, Elcano took the command. Then to escape rapidly to the portuguese navy he headed to the west instead of going east as expected. That's the reason why the "circumnavigation" was completed. The original purpose of the voyage was to go to the Molucas to establish a comercial route. So, Elcano arrived in Spain in an almost sinking vessel (it would not have survived a couple of days more), with 18 men out of the original 200. Later, Spain succeed to arrive in Molucas, but the "business" was after sold to Portugal.

Esa arnada combatio contra ingleses y normandos y tambien contra musulmanes. Y la Armada española es heredera de esa Armada y tambien de la Aragonesa, al igual que los reyes de España siguen la numeracion de los reyes castellanos, pues los Alfonsos, desde el I hasta el XI eran castellanos y Afonso XII o XIII ya eran españoles siguiendo la numeracion castellana.

Spain is not a superpower, but Spain can increase their military budget if necessary to numbers other countries can only dream about. They are spending as of today around 18 billion dollars a year in their military, and with the Russian aggression this will very likely be increased to 30 billion soon.
