Spandau Ballet are one of Britain’s great iconic bands having sold over 25 million records, scored numerous multi-platinum albums and amassed 23 hit singles across the globe since their humble beginnings as a group of friends with dreams of stardom in the late 1970s. It wasn’t long before they became fully-fledged members of the iconic Blitz Club scene and established themselves as one of the super-groups of the 80s.
The band's classic line-up features brothers Gary and Martin Kemp on guitars, vocalist Tony Hadley, saxophonist Steve Norman and drummer John Keeble.
After two decades apart, the band reformed in 2009, embarking on a sold-out tour. In 2014 the band released a critically lauded documentary film ‘Soul Boys Of The Western World’ and returned to the studio recording three new tracks 'Steal', 'Soul Boy' and 'This Is The Love' for the anthology 'The Story'. ‘
This has been followed by the ‘Soulboys Of The Western World’ world tour wowing crowds and critics alike with the band making rapturous returns for the first time in 25 years to USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and parts of mainland Europe.
Spandau Ballet’s hits include Gold, True, To Cut A Long Story Short, Through The Barricades and many more.

Tony Hadley's most certainly NOT lost the voice and he sure as hell hasn't lost his look either! Whenever I hear 80's music, it makes me forget how old I actually am because I REALLY loved life back when the 80's existed and groups like Spandau Ballet were out there! :-)

I know right? Many consider them one hit wonders over here in America, but they weren't. Far from it. They saw major success for many years, which I wasn't even aware. I lost track of them around 84 or 85. I was only about 10. Anyway they really are a great band and should have been more popular in the US. They didn't even bring that first reunion tour here. They did come here last year. I hope they give it one more go.

3 words.....Tony...Fucking....Hadley!!!! The look, the presence, the fire, the command of the crowd, and that golden voice!!! Blew me away at live aid and this performance even more!!! Queen stole the show that day in '85. On this day at IOW they stole the show!!! When he walks out on the catwalk and commands the crowd to sing my entire body floods with chills. Beyond epic!!

I get totally that the Kemps did all the songs. That's clear. Without Tony Hadley those tunes would have never made it out the door. A superb vocal, front man and attraction. He was and IS Spandau Ballet.

He’s probably got one of the finest, if not the finest voice of a lead singer in a group such as Spandau. I can’t think of anyone to touch him to be honest. Rick on Tony!
