I love the implication that Spamton is totally capable of being lucid and sane, but maintains a near constant state of delirium and delusion to keep himself from acknowledging the total disaster his life has become. *cough*likeSunny*cough*

I abslutely did not expect this level of quality and skill when I saw the thumbnail and clicked, I almost didnt because I thought it was going to be some low-effort thing. I really appreciate the focus on how miserable he is at the end and the horror of his new life, its a kind of take not enough people go for and I feel that it fits him well

I actually really like how slow the scenes in this video are. The pauses in the diner scene kind of give the feeling that Spamton's too drunk to respond quickly, and the pauses in the dumpster scene really show how lonely and uneventful Spamton's new life is. Also, is the Queen's mixtape playing at the end supposed to mean that this occurs just before he meets Kris?

I really like how Blue is annoyed and frustrated after Yellow gave Spamton the idea to be a Bigshot because it's like Blue knows Spamton well enough to know this will go south very fast and doesn't even try and unconvince im cuz he knows he won't be able to stop Spamton once it happens anyway. This so well animated it could be a cartoon! I loved this style! I hope this blows up!

I love every movement and facial expression Blue does in this but this shot is the best 1:29. I can just hear him internally screaming ''DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU JUST DID?!''. And Spamton sitting there looking back and down geniunely considering the idea- it's just all so perfect. I was gonna timestamp my favorite Blue and Spamton shots but then I'd just put every second they are in frame.

And at the end of it all feeling like your life has no real course of action, like your just a puppet. It's maddening, but smiling regardless because you never know if something will come along and improve your life. Great character that idk if toby intended to be so deep lol

you know, i was extremely critical of the pacing at the start. the family guy audio and thumbnail setup, the gratuitous sound effects - you're expecting an energetic assault of the senses or at the very least minimal spacing between each action. and then it doesn't pick up. the pauses feel like they're getting longer with each line of the script. i'm trying to decipher the blob of lines on blue's glabella-- is it a weirdly drawn brow, is it a stylistic choice, why are they the only one with it on their face. the motions are dream like, drawn-out like everything else - yet they're the most normal thing right now, they're grounding with their pleasantness and harmony. but the so slightly jagged lines and uneven liquid shapes don't let go of the. dissociative? quality of it. it's beautiful but it's like my brain is failing. the filter on the audio makes me laugh, i wonder if the author did that out of necessity or intentionally, it reminds me of a buzzing tv though it sounds nothing like it. i notice how spamton glows. pause. weird noise. the silences are disorienting. i appreciate the design consistency between spam and orange, the one eyebrow thing. they said the thing! i realize it's just a lock of hair on blue, and not a weird alien portal opening like a third eye. spamton moves like cheese. i'm really, really, aware of the pauses again. i'm still expecting an actual follow up on the reunion. i try to analyze the shapes and lines and moves on the faces-- they follow the rules, still ever so pleasant-- i can't quite grasp what words i want to use for it at the moment, i come to a lazy halt on "the more experimental and promising calarts 3 year shorts". it's not that. but it's not that. it feels dreamier. i am reminded of my wife's drawings when we first met, she hasn't drawn in three years. i miss it. it's not smooth enough to be calarts, it feels like it was drawn through great hardship, through carpal syndrome or in the middle of an episode. i feel like i've analyzed too much at this point and i move on. the big shot scares me. blue melts into acid and my brain shoots into directions of a. us finally entering clearer comedy territory for the author found their footing and b. don hertzfeldt's couch gag, only through jacob geller's words tho. to me that couch gag lasted 17 minutes when i watched the essay. i am not given the opportunity to process that maybe this is much closer to "i will never forget you" -- a mutilation of objects of ultimate capitalistic stagnation through something unbearable to general audiences -- than i can realize. the next two minutes are one of the best i've had in the last three months. rewatching them now makes it hard to breathe for some reason and i feel stupid for saying that on a spam animation but i've committed to just saying whatever is on my mind. he looks like an old waxen figure, the thinness of the squiggles in the little whirlwind halo (really not trying to make any religious associations here, they're much too braindead and plebeian for this, i just don't know how else to describe it) make me gasp-- my wife's drawings again, why i fell in love with her, how she's still perhaps my favorite artist on this earth. no matter how abstract, the motions here feel the most realistic. and the pacing makes so, so, so much more sense now, it's genius. i don't think that at the moment, i'm transfixed. one of the most realistic depictions of grasping where you are. the uncaring pan. the annoyed grandfather frown melting into dark pixels. i have vision problems but i feel my nose hurting on the inside when i still see his eyes filling up. this is a homeless man. this is so explicitly and bluntly just a homeless man switching from mania to the deepest catatonic depression like a transistor. angles come back. horror. analytically, the best piece of spamton-focused narrative art i've seen in all those years. subjectively, i want to stare at a dark corridor for 16 hours and then throw up. i've omitted so many details but i need to get going but i will come back to this. a lot. a lot. a lot. haha battery strawbery

At around 3:00, you can see him noticing his hands changing their position and shape, and you can see he only notices after the fact. Spamton isn’t CHOOSING to act this way.. he’s being directed too. Those strings are forcing him to put on this broken persona, against his will.

This is so amazing but you really need a better thumbnail because I thought it was a low quality meme until I clicked on it

Would've been funnier if the glass of battery acid that the waiter dropped exploded like Queens. But I digress. Still a cool animation.

Spamton isnt even a villain. He Just wanted to be a good businessman. Amd he did but then when he lost it all, he did "lost it all". His friends, his fame, but most importantly, his sanity. He Just became an insane money addict in a shell of his old body. He isnt evil, and if he is, then he is a "broken villain"
