He took his chance and it helped. Too bad that he had to force it because of a failed referee behaviour throughout the whole match (Kroos should have been out in minute 6 because of several yellow cards that were forgiven). But still Carvajal didn't leave the field without arguing face to face with the referee that the end of the game should have happened about two minutes before (specially when he let the fault to be played from the very opposite corner (in the German's area). The moment that ball was kicked the end of the match should have happened. It was +6 in a +3 extended period, for God's shake!

He should have been sent out with red (not second yellow/red). That was simply dirty tactics and has nothing to do with fair play. Also Nacho, who was waiting for Wirtz to let him run into him, to make use of it and „die“ like a Swan, ridiculous- Spain lost a lot of sympathy for me.

Yes, totally, in Pedri's first tackle he deserved a card, he literally almost broke his knee, and he didn't even see a yellow card, and like those many more, I'm surprised to see Germans saying robbery, they thought they were more sensible.

@@DiegoMG48 why do u guys say it was offside? there was no calibrated line or anything, how are u so sure about this? i rewatched and stopped and when the ball was being played and to me it was same height. tha var should have intervened because of that handball and then they can take a look at that offside position as well.

Now that Portugal is out (tkx Martinez) i can safely say that Spain deserves to win this Euro. Attacking football, competent manager that has full confidence in his squad to take full advantage of it, all spanish players knows what they need to do even if they have to run and press to win the ball, full commitment! Yet another terrible game by Anthony Taylor though... its amazing how are the always the bad referees that keep getting so much praise my EUFA. This should have been the final. Força Espanha!

Tbh the ref was all round rubbish for both sides. Kroos perhaps deserved a yellow but Germany definitely deserved a penalty (or at the very least a VAR check, however I have a feeling the ref knew what would happen and hence avoided it). The game was pretty rough and should’ve been better managed. Such an important game and they bring on a ref where there is virtually unanimous agreement on all sides that he is shite.

Both teams played well. Congratulations to Spain 👏 I feel gutted of course. There wont be another big international tournament like this in 2years and that Kroos has retired now. It was terrible looking at his face after that second goal from Spain. Anyways Germany's future is bright ! What Kroos just did was that he triggered that pride and fighting spirit in this German team which was failing miserably last two years. Now, we have to see who succeeds Kroos..... Cruel the way German players faced the game: foul as much as you can. Kroos should have been sent off at minute 3. But he had many other instances in which he should have got yellow cards. What a butcher. He has stained his whole career. So no pity for him at all.

Anthony Taylor absolutely ludicrous reffing, that should be criminal to be that shitty of a ref. UEFA can’t keep putting up such trash refs it’s crazy
very sad for germany, but honestly the second best way to end the tournament. Winning is obviously the best, but losing the final is worse, so if you have to lose, then lose against a top team, while arguably playing better. We went down fighting and no player has to feel ashamed of what they gave on the pitch

Don’t be ridiculous. What about Spain? Just to name two moments out of even more: Carvajal and Nacho; Carvajal should have been sent out with red (not second yellow/red). He wrestled Jamal down without having any chance to get the ball, this was only dirty and unfair game. This has nothing to do with fair play. @@JoeRichter2710kroos should've had a yellow from the 3rd minute of the game. Spain outplayed germany until they scored, then germany deservedly equalized and extra time was crazy and unexpected. Enjoy this great game instead of bashing one team for making intelligent tactical fouls. Both teams made harsh tackes and really a straight red vs a second yellow for carvajal makes absolutely no difference.

I am tired by all the Spanish saying Toni should get a yellow card earlier and how „unfair“ he played. I only wanted to say that they should look at their own frontward if they talk about playing unfair. Toni played aggressiv, Spain played in many cases dirty, not like a champion. My view, sorry!

I respect your view, but i really don't think the referee had a major influence on the outcome of this game. I don't know what the handball rules are for this tournament, bcuz they change every year, but i thought it should've been a pen until they showed fullkrug's offside position in the buildup. That was really the only controversy, apart from the fact that kroos could feasably have gotten 2 yellow cards in thw first 10 minutes and instead got none, allowing him to stop a very promising spanish attack in the second half (for which he did see yellow).

Right decision to go to this game, great game. France-Portugal was more boring. Being Spanish I am happy about this victory but anyone could have won. There is no doubt that Mr. Merino's excellent header goal, emulating the great times of Mr. Carlos Santillana, center forward of Real Madrid, was a complete work of art of how to head the ball. We might lose the next game but at least we saw a great game. The Germans are good people, I hope that what happened with Pedri is nothing, nor should it be pleasant for Toni Kroos to have injured the talented Canarian player.
How the hell was that not a penalty
Anthony Taylor is the world's worst ref. He didn't give a penalty to Germany for a hand ball. We all saw 👀 it was.

Germany kept the possession, meaning there was no handball or offside otherwise it would have been Spain's ball. Rigged game sorry should have been penaltis

@@not2shy He visto muchas muchas veces la repetición de la jugada completa desde el principio hasta el final, y se ve que hay un primer fuera de juego ya de por sí, esa jugada ya estaría anulada, y después hay una mano de Füllkrug y posteriormente se produce la mano de Cucurella, por lo tanto la jugada es inválida desde el fuera de juego y encima posteriormente hay una mano de Fullkrug…

The referee (Anthony Taylor) fkd up every match. As a Dutchie i was mad bc of him after the match between the Netherlands and France. Even tho in this match i was for Spain, it was so wrong that Germany did not get a penalty bc it was a clear handball. Germany would have won but not with this referee. I hope this referee does not come back in other matches...

Bro, Taylor robbed Spain a hundred times during the match and for a handball which was not given because of a previous German offside and German handball, now you saying Spain robbed? Did you even see the match. Germany could have been playing with 9 at minute 10! And many more yellow cards forgiven, another German handball forgiven, all the extra times conceded to Germany, etc.
