SpaceX - Falcon 9 - Starlink Group 6-56 - LC-39A - Kennedy Space Center - May 8, 2024
Ғылым және технология
SpaceX targets Wednesday, May 8, for a Falcon 9 launch of 23 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Liftoff is targeted for 2:42 p.m. EDT, 18:42 UTC, and 20:42 CEST. Additional opportunities are available on Thursday, May 9, starting at 10:16 a.m. EDT.
This is the third flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched Crew-8 and a Starlink mission. Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
For our astronomer friends who asked us about the inclination (and people in the areas who want to see the launch in person): The Satellites will be delivered to a 530 km circular low-Earth orbit (LEO) at 43°; their initial orbit is 285 x 293 km at 43.00º.

It's a water drop on the camera lens. Sorry, no UAP. :)
I find this strange. that there are almost no spectators and almost no viewers online.

You are kidding, right? Come back when the stream is live.
How and where can you find out what the trajectory is for every launch?

Not that easy, SpaceX mostly doesn't comment about trajectory. From Cape Canaveral, Starlink launches are mostly to South-East directions to the Bahamas. Rarely it can happen, that Starlink launches are to the North East. ISS flights (Cargo and Crew) are always North-East because of the ISS trajectory. Vandenberg Space Force Base launches are to the south for Starlink launches, litarally along the coastline of California to Baja California. In general, the launch trajectory is related to the mission and payload. Vandenberg is North, South or West. Cape Canaveral is North-East, West, South east. Sometimes it can happen that a rocket launch is going to the north or directly to south, but that is a rare event for the Cape.
