In the first game I painted an OG WE, it looks like you can do the same in this A bit of a shame that I never unlocked the Mk.4 or Mk.6 armor sets tho

I like how they’ve taken things from other games that clearly work. Games Workshop and the developers do not need to innovate with Space Marine 2, they need a solid game that lets us play out the lore we love. Hopefully they follow the same idea with their live action streaming content.

Want to point out that during emblem customization we can see sons of Horus heraldry. I hope there will be heresy armor patterns (mark 2&3 especially)

I'm more impressed with how the Lictor moved, reminded me of the Predator. Playing as a Tyranid, munching on Space Marines, now that would be fun ☺️

@Kakimech89 get some killstreaks like artillery strike or spore mines and instead of a tank someone spawns in as a hive tyrant when the 'nid sides losing or dreadnought as marines with different build options to give buffs to team mates or npcs

We can only hope that there's a way to add extra decals to show off the tattoo motif they adorn their armor with. Definitely one of the most unique armor schemes in the lore.

Id say the reason you can access traitors is just for customisation purposes. Some people would want to do it so saber gave them the option.

Agreed. No mistake. Not an error. You can’t deny a hefty portion of the fan base the ability to play as their legion. I think people will get it.

I'm thinking the Ultra Marines symbol on the customization screen may be for the coop (Operations) mode Marines. Usually the different tabs mean different teams so it'd make sense if they had a tab specifically for your coop (Operations) Marine Edit: Clarity

That would kind of imply that one of the options is customizing Titus, which I don't think we will be able to do. Unless his whole tab is a Helmet Y/N screen.

The symbols for Avernii and Gaarsak ( IH first and second company)got me soo happy

Honestly I would really love it if you can Customise Titus himself, (I know you can give him a helm) but I would love it if you could fully deck him out or at the very least give him Different preset armor like Batman/Spiderman in their respective games. Also they really should do what 343 should have done with infinite and continue the Single/PVE story with More paid Expansions/campaigns after launch because we don’t want to wait another decade for space marine 3, no one wants Space Marine to become just another halo where it’s an eternity between sequels. Additional Campign DLC would gives us the opportunity to play as new characters from other chapters. I also love how SM2 has seemingly taken a lot of inspiration from games like Armored Core and Halo Reach when it comes to Customisation instead of going the modern route of “money please go 2 shop 4 drip corp speek”

Back on the Space Marine 1 MP it was so fun to watch other Marines and see their creations. I also was kinda proud of my one and loved to show it to other people. Space Marine 1 had one the best customisation options in any game ever and I really wish more games would do it. I realyl love that the devs took this game, looked what people loved and wanted back in SM1 and added it to the game. The armors are looking great so far and I can't wait to create my Marine and play with others.

Is the second founding Libertators chapter master a certain Samwise Gangee?

100% this will be used to plan out all future paint jobs. Even if it can't do "everything" I might do in a paintjob, just the fact of having a 3d model, with different armor types, and proper shading, and all of that stuff......will be epic

they must add the Retributors now that they are canon we need to see those badasses in action

All I'm asking for is Mark VI/VII/VIII armor sets available for the loyalists

I completely agree, exact same feeling! I have to go a step further and get a ps5 at long last.

I really hope that this game doesn't have FOMO but do it like Helldivers so you don't miss out on seasons you couldn't play but unlock that stuff later on. Fear of missing out is the make or break

My guess is the devs are taking the same route of gears of war 6 and halo games before seasons became a thing in halo.

Looks so good! Very interesting mixing loyalist and traitor chapters. I wonder if the reverse will be true for Chaos space marines aswell? That you can make like an ultramarine chaos space marine lol

So the Ultramarine tab, I can see some DLC being chapter specific. For example space wolf specific armors with bone and pelts. To me putting a lot of smurf stuff in game, basics for other chapters and have your DLC expand to allow greater customization makes sense.

I hope we get some sort of rank system in multiplayer, were someone is chosen to be the sargeant or captain of the team, and they get to use a diferent loadout for customisation, so only cosmetic. So the game doesnt devolve into everyone being decked out in the most lavish ornamentations after a few months

We have yet to see any customization for chaos and like I said in the DM, all the chaos we have seen every role is always a specific legion world eaters=vanguard, night lords=assault, etc I hope that chaos isn’t just set legions for each class with small amounts of customization (we saw a blue death guard, but they were always bulwark) but I could be looking to deep into it. I do hope chaos gets some love tho. Co-op missions as chaos where guard take the place of cultist and you takeout loyalist would be really dope

Hoping the Iron Snakes get some love, my favorite chapter. Would also love to make some loyalist Emperor's Children, and make their battle cry "The Ancient Awaits!"

Upgrade sprues based on these classes would be huge to see coming from GW. Would also give us plebs some more variety in the basic primaris boxes we've got so far.

Hey if the add all the established heraldry icons that you can see in a wiki, I'd say that's good enough variety to choose from. Also, I better see my Lamenter boys there!

It'd be cool if they had a "chaos expansion" and they flesh out the demons and add a Grey Knight with tweaked gameplay.

If you zoom in at 6:57 it looks like sister of battle will appear in the campaign alongside the guardsman

I'm still a bit confused as to why some of the chapter colours are locked if we can instead pick our own colours. What's the point of locking chapter colours if I can just make it myself in the custom editor?

Honest question, would a dlc voice pack to change the marines more to your fave chapter be acceptable?

I see a skull symbol but I also hope there is a Mortifactors preset, and perhaps some skulls and bones extras perhaps as future dlc.

Honestly, this is just making me really want to see what GW do for the eventual Primaris Vanguard Veteran models!

Maybe they’ll have heresy era armour types down the line so you can have the loyalist/traitor marines swap

Im praying for blood raven since they are also the only chapter that fought the Tyranids during DOW2 and fighting other factions in one place.

I hope they add a DLC class, Champion (Melee 2h, no jetpack), Chaplain, Apothecary and Librarian. NGL I kind of wish they went with Battlefront 40+ player large maps instead, with Terminators and Dreanaught killstreaks. Have a Heroes vs Vililans with Primarchs in a 6v6 instead.

Honestly really glad to see that Loyalist/Traitor customisation seems to be intermingled - and I hope this stays into the release build. My Loyalist Space Marine army is painted as 30k Death Guard (imagined as an alt-universe force), and I’d love to be able to represent them in SM2.

The customization looks incredible, that was certainly a highlight of the first game! Can’t wait for this, I hope crossplay functions like Destiny and both consoles and pc can join together in righteous battle

From what i can see the skill tab is very similar to wwz...also the rewards from missions...gold and blue currency...wwz is a fantastic game i still play and the fans loved it and i believe this game is gonna be better in every way because Saber Interactive always listen to the player community..!!

I know its a long shot.. I would like if Titus gets rewarded for his actions and the mess he had to deal with by becoming a Chapter Master of a new founding Chapter of Space Marines. I don't think he'll ever be Captain in the Ultramarines.

I would say the devs should had included a Space marine chapter maker for online roleplay and online esports for Warhammer, something similar to Halo Esports etc.

My love of 40k started with Dawn of War, so I'll be happy if I can make a Blood Raven so I can honour that chapter.

You see in a few snipets, the redemtor dreadnought. Do you think we will be able to play as them in PvP and if so do you think later down the line we will get a terminators option? 😁

Later in the gameplay trailer we do see a Tartaros Terminator Thousands Son Marine. So the animation rigging seems to already be there for a beefy boy with an assault cannon. Hopefully that means good things for us down the line.

I hope every chapter gets some unique thing on armours, like Dark Angels get the hood with tabard etc, curious how Raven Guard would look. Also if game won't give separate taunt button for chapter specific war cries and taunts, with common "For the Emperor!", will be disappointed. Even EC had it.

I’m still pretty new to the 40k universe and I’m excited for this game. I hope the customization will help me find my favorite space marine chapter

Can't wait to make all of my Marine Classes different Imperial Fists successors. I'm gonna make an Assault Executor, Tactical Imperial Fist, Vanguard Exorcist, Black Templar Bulwark, crimson Fists Heavy, and some other Dornian Chapter Sniper.

One thing I haven’t seen is customizing what your actual Astartes looks like (not their armour) for Operations and MP. A little bit tricky considering the gene seed traits and all the complexities and drama that can create. But maybe I missed something? Thoughts?
