Community: I'm going to make automated rovers! KEEN: Not yet possible. Community: How about I do /anyway/.
This sort of ingenuity is what I love about the space engineers community!
You can also get excellent results using the old sideways wheels hovercraft method.
Whoa, nice job
Man i was just building an AI rover just to find out I forgot it's not possible I wanted make patrol rover

same
so instead of a rover following a player, why not the other way around and have rovers be alerted when an enemy comes into sensor range. now from there the alarm would be sent to other rovers (such as tanks, fighter jets, and helicopters) to engage said enemy rover weather it be on the ground, on the ocean or in the air. and the allied rovers would respond accordingly.
great!
So cool Palp -Loot
That's brilliant! Thank you so much!
Whats the plugin called that shows the grid pivot for the ghost of the block before placing it down? I'd love to use that, too. Thanks in advance!
U get beter results by just slaping forward and backbard thrusters,ai blocks, gyros and reducing wheel fricton to 25%.it uses thrusters to move and gyros for steering
That rover design is beautiful
I cannot get this to work. I go out of range, come back in, the rover detects me, turns its leftside to me and tries to scurry away. It immediately takes a right turn and then does crescent moon shapes back and forth
How about an automated mining rover?
Do you need to have gyros?

Hello, did you not hear him explicitly explained they are used for turning? Now you’re more than welcome to not use the gyros but the results you get are not gonna be what he is doing
There's a missing step here. This doesn't work.

Can you at least be more specific for everyone else?
