The outside pictures are NOT images of the actual model inside. Jamie Anderson bought out Eaglemoss’s Eagle tooling to be able to have their own model licensing. This model is actually the one Eaglemoss produced with the exception that the rear engines of the Anderson Eagle versions are misssing the diamond pattern fuel tubing frame that was added to some of the Eagle models, in season/series 2 of Space:1999. Also, for the first time, these Anderson Eagles come with a simulated launchpad lift display platform, that Eaglemoss never produced for these Eagle models. It is a decent model for the price, but have the same Eaglemoss detail/accuracy issues, like the cage frames looking more like square tubing than round tubing, the ugly seam in the command module beak/nose, no inside rocket motor/ engine baffles inside of the rocket engine bells. Anderson Entertainment did fix almost all the model color issues the Eaglemoss versions had, though. It’s a passable model, if somewhat smaller model ( 10 inches ) for the price. For much more money, though, the Sixteen12, 12 inch diecast Eagle models are much more accurate, all around.

Thanks for the info. Like I said in somebody else's comment I already knew this Eagle wasn't accurate then what's actually on the box and I did pay less of a price than what they're selling for it now. Sixteen 12 definitely has the better die casts Eagle models although you'll be paying more for them.

Nice to see in detail here. From the first time I saw this, however, I knew I wouldn't buy it because the black "X" panels on the sides of the landing pods aren't accurate in shape (except on the packaging). Otherwise pretty impressive.

As a kid what I liked about the Eagle was how it referenced Apollo and how it had a logic to the design that seemed practical and real. This could be a real system, or at least it felt that way.

Gotta ask. How did yours arrive at your home? The one sent to me was packed in a very thin and flimsy box that was crushed and pushed in on almost every side and had 'DHL repackaged' taped all along the top of the box, but was delivered upside down as the bottom of the box was basically opened and only one flap still held down by the cheapest of celotape. Lucky nothing came out - that I know of. Inside there was no padding other than a single barely crumpled piece of paper down one side and for the value of it and the number I got for myself and friends, we could have had a bad experience. Compare that to a package which arrived a week later from Japan that looked as if they had just packed in my living room and handed it to me and had Man U use it for practice before it was dispatched. Andersons packing dept needs a lot of improvement!

Pretty much the same type of box you described but mine wasn't crushed from what I remember. They could have packed it better inside then just paper. Luckily there was no damage to the product.

If you want an actually accurate Eagle model for a lot less money buy the NEW MPC kits at either 14" (1/72 scale) or 22" (1/48th scale) kits. None of the other eagles on the market, including the one shown here, are accurate.

I ready know this Eagle is not accurate but I purchased it anyway, and to be honest I'm not good at building models and I'm not going to pay someone to build it for me. Thanks for the advice.

@@superg50zero32 I feel the same way. I used to be a very good model maker, but I haven’t built ANY models in over 10 years, nor do I have a good work/hobby space to do so, in a very long time.

The packaging is fantastic, but I really feel that the premium packaging is really what is really dramatically increasing the pricing of these limited edition Eagles. I purchased the rescue Eagle version as I already have Eaglemoss’s regular Eagle personnel/reconnaissance transporter that is, basically, the same as the one you purchased minus the new display base. I have plenty of different display bases to display different sized Eagles onto, already, though.

For the amount of money that this cost I'd expect perfection - if I were you I'd send this one back. The rear left leg nacelle is very badly put together, the join between the top and the underside is atrocious for a limited edition.

Well I paid a pre-order price which was cheaper than what they're asking now. Too much of a hassle to ship it back to the UK just to hope that I get a better model. It was made in China after all. I can live with a slight imperfection.
