SP-404 MKII // Industrial, Dark Ambient, Soundtrack // "Aulcus"
This is my first beat on the SP-404 MKII. I had an interest in that machine for a long time already and after a year of not buying any new audio gear and some bigger accomplishments in my personal life this month, I felt like treating myself:-D. It's sequencer is fairly basic, but therefore it has an amzing amount of performance features, very nice playable pads and a decent number of high quality fx. The samples I am using in the video are a combination of a ghosthack samplepack, venus theory's samples and some of my own of course. Next one will be more ambient again.

Thank you 🎃🌌. It’s a cool machine! But I get that. The main reason I got it is, because recently I had fallouts with other gear and I want to build up an alternative live setup. So far it’s my Elektron combo. In future it’s supposed to be the Sp404 and my Wavestate. So I try to always have two samplers and at least two synths around…My tracker doesn’t count because it’s input is broken. Otherwise would be a great performance mixer/sampler sequencer as well…
can I ask where you got the drum samples in this tune? cheers.

Great vid, enjoyed the song and aesthetic. How do you like the SP-404? I've been holding off on getting an SP for sometime. Seeing it used for something besides hiphop was great.

Thank you my friend 🖤. I really like it so far. The are many different ways how it can be utilized. The Elektron Sequencers are a lot better. But therefore it has some pretty amazing fx options and I also really like playing something in with pads as well…I still have lots to learn, can’t really judge yet. But first impression is good. Something I also like is that it plays super long stereo samples wich is great for field recordings or playing back stems in the sequencer.

Haha thank you! I thought it's about time...Had the same issue within the tracker community. Mostly idm productions, but there is so much more potential in that machine...
