Watching the fighters being sent to slaughter one after another was a pain. All the tools are there for ya. Acolytes move faster than ACVs. Link them after they've traveled across the map and before engaging targets. There's no reason to use Acolytes in combat before you get their missile upgrade. Place ACVs in Wall formation to initiate engagements with all of them having targets in range at once. You can get all the way to mission 15 without losing anything even on very hard.
Great game. Since HW3 is such a shitty game i play Cataclysm now. Having a great time
