a fun fact, The 2105 and 2107 (simply the riva to us) did infact have rotary powered models, the 2104 (estate) did not however. They were made for the KGB and put out around 120hp (and I think later on 140hp), they were called the 21059 and 21079.

as a russian i can confirm that they had a rotary model not sure about it being used by KGB tho. but i heard some prototypes were sold to few civilians and they were terrible for fuel efficiency and reliability

Utility-bed Ladas used in my hometown for small buisness delivery. Like bread from local bakery to private-owned 2000s universal shops across a town, before retail networks are kicked in. There is also a "wannabe G-wag" Niva build right near my apartment. Dark titnted windows and 20-inch rims with low profile road tyres. Kinda stupid but well, whatever. Chinese SUVs are heavily promoted nowadays. They hated by car enthusiasts for sure, but common across normies who want a fresh family car for reasonable price instead of overpriced one or not buying it at all.

Did u know there's a Russian version is the Hudson hornet?

If you tune it you can add the 2.0 liters engine that includes assisted steering and traction control!A regular tune makes it go 213km top speed

tried them when they appeared in the repo, actually dev quality mod and models, only thing wrong is some little details to be fixed but nothing important

The reason why you can't drift it is because it has an open differential. If you install a welded or limited-slip differential, it will all of a sudden be able to drift and do burnouts (If it has enough power that is)

Well, actually, Ladas arent popular in Poland. You would meet old Polish Fiats or FSO cars. After 1991 Polish people are trying to get as far as possible from Russia, alongside with scrapping soviet cars.
