I remember when Russian TV in American had televise the leaving of the Russian troops, unfortunately I miss seeing that. Now getting a chance to see it, what if American could learn WWII and the cold war is over, and try to build a better tomorrow, instead of more war toys.

@@apotato5567 So they couldn't salute properly? I think that the Soviets, @ this point, knew that in a reunited Berlin & collapsing Soviet Empire, they couldn't maintain this occupation much longer. They knew this was coming so it really doesn't make sense. Perhaps the loss of morale in the last days of the Soviet Union simply made them careless? I also noticed that they played "Deutschland Uber Alles" instead of "Auferstanden Aus Ruinen," so East Germany was already gone.

Good riddance to the agents of Soviet Communism (OK, by 1990 was perestroika, and we are nice guys now. Gorbachev and all that). Communism killed more people worldwide than all the empires that ever ruled. They did it by terror, by starvation, by imprisonment , by war, by secret poisoning, and by so-called wars of liberation. Be happy good Russians, a fine and noble race, who gave us great literature and music and a brave defense against Nazism. Yes, we owe you, but that doesn't mean we ignore the toll of communism. You are free of that now, if not free from a new autocrat.
