Sovereign Love in the Messy Middle - Louie Giglio

God is revealing the attributes of Himself, and when we come to the fact that God is Sovereign we have to understand that is fundamental to our view of and relationship with Him.
Pastor Louie Giglio reminds us that we aren’t dealing with a god who is on our level. Our God is seated on a throne high and exalted with all rule and all authority. He is Sovereign. What does this mean for you? This mean He is able; able to do whatever He wants to do, and He can. This means your God is more powerful than the mess you find yourself in, than the circumstances around you, than anything and everything you will encounter. In a chaotic world, your God is sitting high and exalted, able and willing to do what is best for your life because He desires you to be with Him.

I have a serious question! If the trinity ( the father, son and holy ghost (or spirit) ) is real, who resurrected Christ when he died on a stake

"The basic answer is that “God has raised . . . Jesus to life” (Acts 2:32). The Father is God, and the Father raised His Son to life on the third day after the crucifixion (Romans 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:4). The Spirit is also God, and the Spirit had a part in raising Jesus from the dead. The Son is also God, and the Son, too, was responsible for His own resurrection."

@@macmcdonald1551 The bible itself teaches that the word of God is spirit (ie not just a physical thing, literal words, ink on a page, human thoughts etc.). It is impossible for us to discern or know things that are spiritual by our reasoning and intellect alone. God says he confounds the wise. Only in humility can we approach and know God and the meaning of his words, and it is his gift of revealing truth to those who humbly seek him that allows us to understand even in part. Anyone who by clever reasoning, great education, degrees or titles claims they can teach you is deceiving themselves and those who listen to them. Ask God to reveal the truth or understanding you seek. He is by what we can in part understand capable of anything. If he chooses to be a being that exists in three forms or an infinite number he can. We humans cannot fully grasp a God who is smarter, greater, more powerful than we can imagine. There are yet mysteries in this universe, and it is only our own arrogance that demands and believes that we must with enough time be able to understand all things. I pray you seek the living God and get to know him, and that God guards your heart and mind against lies and false teaching (which is everywhere).

@tiporari doesn’t the Bible say to be “shrewd” (as in skeptical/ discerning) so wouldn’t it make sense to look at the Bible logically. I’m not arguing the Bible is wrong or god isn’t real or all powerful but in my opinion ( and the Bible’s) god his Holy Spirit and his son are 3 different things (god / yhwh/ Jehovah, being the most powerful) maybe read the Bible before you try to explain it to other people instead of blindly parroting back what your pastor is paid to tell you.

@@maxs3152 When that one book is the inerrant Word Of God, and every other book is written by ignorant people, it would be dumb to assume anything else be necessary. Your problem is you obviously don't believe that the Bible contains what it claims to, and that argument is backed by science and history and is wayy to long to expect an ignorant youtube comment to contain more than a minuscule fraction of.
