The reason your pushback seemed slow likely had little to do with your T/O weight. Most of the times LAS ramp isn't all that busy, but as you saw with the big money line for departure, you happened to be leaving at a busy time. From where you were sitting we couldn't see what was going on behind you, but you were probably waiting for other traffic to get out of your way. Another factor is that staffing on the ramp still isn't recovered from covid, and there is a LOT of hiring and training going on in an attempt to get properly staffed. Very possibly you had a trainee on that crew and the supervisor was going slow for training purposes. And when pushing a MAX, everyone knows there's no hurry since it takes a day and a half to get those LEAP1B's started.

Hope you enjoyed Hawaii bro! Still crazy how quickly Southwest entered the market and expanded across to inter-island service. My uncle preferred them over Hawaiian when he and his family went interisland a few years ago!

I always eat before the flight. Going 6 hours with no food after eating isnt a big deal for me so no issues with that. Just wish they would have cheddar dip for the wheat thins instead of only parmesan

The snack situation is the same for all Southwest flights. That's why most everyone will bring their own food on from the terminal so that they can enjoy real food on the flight. It's nothing new!

No domestic airline is ever going to have better snacks to Hawaii than southwest . Fares would be higher and people won’t pay it. If it makes you feel any better my last flight to Maui on United included one snack after takeoff . A half ounce piece of chocolate candy . That’s it! Everything else was for purchase .

I would never take SWA from the mainland to the Hawaiian Islands. Food if SWA calls it that looked like junk food, at least, they can offer a hot meal buy on board like Alaska does. 5 hr 20 min in the middle seat would drive me crazy,

Other airlines Feed You had it been Spirit or Allegiant would have paid for everything... Alaska Airlines use to go to Hawaii better service Even First Class but same cheap snacks they used to Free wine
