New series to the channel that breaks down a play by play for each landing. The insight and knowledge you have makes this series extremely enjoyable brother. Keep ‘em coming.

Most of my jet landings fall somewhere between "I can't believe it's not butter" and "Please have EMS standing by at the gate". I know I need a lot of practice, and that's generally what it takes to get better. Love seeing the sim pilots who get it right, as well as the ones who are in my category of "Needs a lot more practice".

Jeff Something I think you should do is make a tutorial series on how to do a full flight on simulators like these. Including takeoff/landing procedures, autopilot, the flight planning etc... basically a complete lesson, but with an actual jet such as the 737. Not many resources on YT to learn about it, and I think people would very much benefit and/or enjoy them! I love flight simulators, but the only things I know about flying a jet is what I've learned from watching you over the years. Still a lot I don't know about though, such as remembering where all the switches are or how a proper approach and landing are executed. I imagine a lot of people are in the same position

I think that would be amazing. I can fly from point A to point B, but as far as programming the FMC, I just let the game do that part for me. I’ve seen a couple tutorials on KZread, but they tend to skip over things or just not explain it well.

As for the first one, sometimes when I do an auto land I find that using flaps 40 and the lower airspeed you'll be going at gives me better landing rates.

6:03 the fly by wire a32nx also has an efb so they are using the default.

I think they didn't get the memo that southwest only flies the 73...

flaps 40 is standard procedure for lots of airlines but does depend on conditions

Yeah, RFS I play it. For some weird reason when you have an engine out, the rudder just doesn’t want to work to turn the plane

jus started playing, im on controller which sucks but i have to say its still fun! any suggestions of cheapish flight sim setups would be great :)

My opinion, Southwest should consider changing their fleet to Airbus. I don’t have a valid reason other than they’re newer. Lol

You would normally have to send in an application through their website that is also called OCRP, to maybe get accepted to join it. However, at this time it seems to be closed down for new applications to be sent in. You can always return to check it out from time to time if you want, to see if it might have opened up again. And maybe Jeff will announce it here on his youtube channel once it opens up again, as he did about a month back 🙂

The landing at 5:44 was prolly the worst landing I’ve ever seen. He doesn’t have ILS on, has the super cancerous default UI on, using the vfr map to navigate instead of ND, keeping the ATC page open even though he was already cleared to land and for some odd reason, he wasn’t looking straight for the whole landing. And ofc most importantly, he landed before the runway even started

My gta fail isn’t here😢
