    Yep it's shade, because the routine so AMAZING! They felt the need to cap the word "DOWN" to make sure others don't try and get the credit for an older routine...LOL! All HBCU dance teams revise old routines if its an amazing one. This routine obviously one of the "AMAZING" ones!

    That was an excellent dance routine by the dancing dolls. It seemed very complicated and they made it look flawless. thank you for posting this video. I'd been waiting since Sunday for someone to post the field show SU performed against Tulane but no has until now, not even SU's own Human Jukebox Media.

    Nice show... just to critique 3:38 at the 20 yard line. Gotta clean that up. I understand its early in the season but execution is key. Back in the day if Doc would have seen that, you could have been zipped (lol).

    Couldn’t help but notice the difference in sound with the Drums. In looking I notice they were using the practice equipment. Plus how I knew that it was the old Drums was from the right to left of the snares, 5 of them are the old Remo Legato Snares and the other three were practice Drums the members used. The T-Drums would have had new heads and the basses are really thumping. All the Drums were covered with Yamaha covers to make it look like it’s covered. Not to many people would notice it but to us who are Human Jukebox fans, we would notice it right off the bat. Plus Funk Factory played at that time the New Yamaha SFZ All Chrome Drums. Which in 2019 been switch to all Ludwig Drums.

    Yep, I sent Mr. Haymer so many messages regarding that so called new fanfare (Debuted against JSU) for drilling the halftime score. I messaged "PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE" our fanfare for drilling the halftime score. NO fanfare compares to our traditional "Spirit"! That new fanfare just didn't pack a powerful punch, nor attention getter like "Spirit". Our traditional fanfare straight FIRE🔥🔥, and NOTHING else comes close!

  • @ColeDodson1701

    @ColeDodson1701

    Exactly, the fanfare they played last year for the score wasn't good. Spirit is something people recognize, it sounds great, and it packs a punch like icing on a cake. Only two things I wish SU would bring back is the downfield/midfield drill combo and the regular midfield drill. There are some arrangements of songs that I like that should be kept but I like the direction Mr. Haymer is taking this band and he brought the original drill concept back which is what made the SU band what it is today. But Spirit to the halftime score is something that shouldn't be touched ever. If not Spirit then the 90's BET theme, not the re-arranged one from a couple years back. Otherwise, the band is spotless, it's been spotless since 1969, and it will be spotless till the end.

    Cole Dodson I agree with all you've written here. I really wish Mr. Haymer would change up from doing the 3 or 4 short mixed songs while in the 4 block dance routine, to just playing and dancing to one song starting from beginning to ending. It would be awesome if SU brought back the one complete song dance routine again. Crowds becoming harder to please these days, and you have to come up with so many creative ideas to keep their attention. SU known for their creativity, and execution of some of the most amazing precision drills. Mr. Haymer should revise SU dance routine, and go back to doing one song dance routines. The newer generation really haven't been exposed to the concept, because what they see today is all they really use to seeing. I know the crowds would love it. The 4 block kinda boring now. Lastly, many Jukes not executing the "Jag Swag-Jaguar Rock" fully. Look at how SU bandsmen doing the "Jag Swag-Jaguar Rock" back in the 80's, and then compare it to what you see today. Some Jukes kinda laxed with it, while others executing it perfectly. It looks so amazing when the entire band rocking it fully.
