This was broadcast 44 years ago April 5, 2021. I remember Tom Kennamer , " See you in Church on Sunday. " weather man H.D. Bagley and Missy Ming. For some reason while researching the Old Loveman's Mall in Huntsville, Alabama yesterday ,Saturday ,March 6, 2021. Of course the old Loveman's Mall is long gone demolished 20 years ago or longer. All these familiar faces and commercials by local merchants and retailers during those days. Channel 19 was the clearest station we could pickup by antenna in Florence ,Alabama on Patton Hill so we mainly watched WHNT 19 News and programs. Loved watching Mornin Folk with host Grady Reeves while in the 5 to 8 th grades 1970 thru 1974. Dick Curtis, man what happened to all these people from our past ? Grady Reeves was also the announcer of the weekly wrestling matches that aired once a week on Saturday afternoon.

An aspiring singer from Chicago boarded the flight in Muscle Shoals, after recording the opening tracks for her album at Muscle Shoals Sound, for the quick trip to Huntsville. Unfortunately she never had the chance to finish the album.

Annette Snell.... sadly her body was never recovered because it was believed that her body actually incinerated in the fire. Wonderful singer makes you forever Rest In Peace.

I'm totally shocked ! I loved Annette Snell's " You Ought To Be Here With Me " I' ve got the album. Had know idea whatever became of her and she's been gone since April 4 ,1977 !!! I grew up in Florence ,Alabama just across the Tennessee River from the old Muscle Shoals Sound Studio on Jackson Highway in Sheffield, Alabama. Being born in 1959 I was young and alive at the peak of the huge amounts of hit records coming out of FAME owned by Rick Hall and Muscle Shoals Sound Studio owned by Jimmy Johnson and a few others. Annette was cutting a new album with the in house musicians at M.S.S.S. called " The Swampers " Never knew what happened to Annette until today March 7 ,2021. Annette was 32 years old. So damn sad ! Didn't know she ever recorded at M.S.S.S.

Annette Snell was an R&B/soul singer was there during that tragic plane crash. That added the lists of other singers that died in a plane crash. The first was Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper in 1959, Patsy Cline in 1962, Jim Reeves in 1964, and Otis Redding in 1967.

That voice at 29:27 sounds like none other than Chuck Ohman the announcer for Jack Van Impe Ministries on television. I'm sure that's him with that baritone voice. "Now back to you Jack and Rexella". Also, seeing that weather setup was so nostalgic for me. And $4.99 for all-you-can-eat crab legs? Wow! The 70's!...lol

We lived in Florence but watched channel WHNT 19 ,99.9% of the time back in the early to late 1970's. WOWL channel 15 was an absolute joke for the entire time I grew up during the 1960' and 1970's.
