South West Drone Fishing Safari - Hamelin Bay, WA - Part 1

Tune in for Part 1 of an amazing trip to the South West region of Western Australia to one of the most beautiful coast lines, namely Hamelin Bay. Part 1 takes us on the journey of MXT OUT regular TShark Tony, as he attempts to hook and land his first ever size Pink Snapper. With the drone reporting error after error, and the final battery running out, will there be any joy one Day 1? This one has to be seen to be believed....

Don’t drop a surf rod so far on the “pump and reel” . That’s why you lost so many, a loose line. Also learn to reel with your left hand and hold the rod in your right hand. Unless you’re left handed, it will be more sensitive to the slack you are creating and you’ll keep more consistent pressure on the fish. Philip (83 years of actual fishing experience and still going!)

@Philip f stuart Sage advice. I'm a bit weird in that I am sort of ambidextrous, and although I write with, and prefer left hand for most things, I actually cast with and hold the rod left handed, whilst reeling with right hand. Although I'm very proficient with casting over left shoulder , and it feels natural to fish this way, it might be an idea to learn how to cast right handed and reel with left, just in case of injury to one side...like I suffered a couple months back, and only just got back on the water recently...
