So, Mint makes your allies get protected and Berry just reduce health of the foes? Am I right? Because I'm still confused to Minteberry Crunch's move.

Basically, his mint status is both a cleanse and a shield for allies. If hit by non berry enemies, the attack is reduced by 33 percent. However, if the enemy had berry, they do no damage to the people protected by mint. And both lost 3 turns.

I haven’t actually played the game, but I’ve seen enough footage to deduce the “mint” and “berry” status effects are a combination status. If an enemy with “berry” attacks an ally buffed with “mint” all the damage is nullified. However, the enemy is cured of “berry” after the attack. And other effects like knock back and status ailments still go through.
