South of the Border is a place that if you drive North or South on I-95 through North Carolina or South Carolina, you really can't miss the billboards for it. The last 2 times I drove by, I wanted to stop at FORT PEDRO and snag a store tour but I finally got there this year.
They almost exclusively carry TNT brand fireworks and the prices are all labeled on each product. It is a relatively big store, but there are multiple sections throughout that simply repeat each other so the selection at South of the Border is quite limited.

Thanks for watching... I would recommend going to Jabs just south on 95 for better selection and pricing
Brings back so many memories while driving to Disney with my family we always stopped there.

Yeah - I remember passing it a few times as a kid as well. I've stopped at South of the Border and gotten gas in the past but don't think i ever made it into Fort Pedro before.
Thats pretty cool. Glad you did the walk through. Second time I hear about this place. Cant wait to make it out there

Yeah - i wanted to do this to share with the rest of the Pyro Community - but would definitely recommend JABS about 10 minutes South on I-95.
Wonder if the TNT group (American Promotional) owns Fort Pedro now? Seems funny as big of a store as it is they only primarily carry one brand. The place really cooked in the early 60's, Cherry Bombs, tube salutes were still legal. Almost all the old American brands. Got a time machine?

Loved the store tour sad i used to shop here when they had all different brands and got some really good stuff

Many years ago I learned of South of the Border from #adamthewoo. He made a stop there recently so I made a dive on what the area was all about.

Thanks for watching.... I wanted to do the store tour but didn't have a lot of faith that it would be nothing more than an over priced tourist trap... (I was right).
I have passed this place so many times but I've never stopped only because it seems super tourist trappy but maybe I will stop next time in a few weeks

Honestly - your initial assessment is pretty accurate - I would definitely hit up JABS instead. South of the Border ONLY has TNT product where as most of the other places in SC have Megabanger, Great Grizzly, Herbies, USA Brand, Brothers, World Class, etc... I didn't buy anything here but definitely picked up a car load at JABS!

Wanna know why people rag on TNT, just look at the prices. Good God those prices sucked A$$!!! Sadly TNT Robs 1000's of customers every year, they should literally offer your some Vaseline at the door, cause they aren't Straight F@#king you at the register💰😱💰

Nor I... I think with such a big space - they could have SO much more potential and offer 5 or 6 more brands.But alas - only TNT product.

Jabs poor pauls and red rocket for sc for the best prices. That shop your at is high. Phantom and aliens high as well. Nc sucks anyhow, everything is still illegal. For now...

Poor Paul's is on the top of my list of places to visit - was hoping to get up before the 4th of July but probably not until Sept or October...
