Luangwa is a wonderful reserve and environment for a unique safari. A place to learn and experience much about African wildlife and conservation. I hope one day to return for a fourth time to watch walk and hear and experience Simon Artley UK

Ah I noticed one of the females is collared. That will be the work of the excellent Zambian Carnivore programme that are carrying out research and protection initiatives to gain a better knowledge of all the predators.

These young males are possibly the sons of old Ginger They will have their work cut out with the fierce mature females in the area.. and the buffalo. They may have already learnt how to kill giraffe according to very recent evidence near Nkwali . Fine memories of Luangwa..including encountering lion on a walk.... Simon Artley

Interesting Kayla and thanks. hooefully they should be able to hold and protect an area so the pride females can produce cubs safely. I hope you enjoyed the Luangwa experience with all its fine wildlife. I hope to reurn one day for a 4th time. Im a supporter of the Conservation South Luangwa organisation..fine work stopping poaching and snaring. Years ago ivory poaching was very bad I stayed at Kafunta and then went to their remote camp to the south to walk. We saw wild dog while walking. Thats what Luangwa is excelkent for...and the night drives...and noisy hippos. Lower Zambezi is great too!! Simon Manchester UK
