Living through the early 2000s felt like this. This is how exciting I remember everything being. There was always a hype. Once 2010 or 2012 hit there was just a bunch of quiet kids.

That was my class I was supposed to graduate that year but my parents moved to Colorado in 97 so that changed... I knew most of these kids most of them went to South Gate Junior High and Montara elementary with me Mr. Sandoval was the principal I believe.. Im soooo happy to see this on youtube it took me back to a lovely and beautiful time in life I miss it all... My favorite teacher ever Mr Ruz the math teacher looked asian but was chicano if im thinking correctly... God what I wouldn't give for my time to go back some times. Awesome I was class of 2000 but I had to go to odyssey " across the street".... so many memories bro for real.... would love to go back and relive those awesome moments.... my favorite teachers were MS. BLANCO 💥😍 .... and the English teacher older man forgot his name but he use to do his awesome walk in class

Ahh yes I remember this. Like it was just yesterday. Kick in it in wood shop mr Davidson’s class.

I was a Freshman in 99-00, this gave me hella flashbacks of pep rally days. It was the Seniors vs the Freshman, we called it a "rumble". It got ugly, but we held our own. 😂

Thank you for posting this! Class of 2001 here and this is probably the closest I'll get to my alma mater, HPHS, yes…your rivals ;P

I went to South Gate high Long live our beautiful town

Wow surreal. I was a soph in 2000. Amazing life at that time consists of friends, driving around in a Honda, listening to rock music, and being bored/goofing around in class. Funny how I remember my English teacher that year (older man, might not even still be alive) telling his students not to "wish their life away" when they would say "I wish the bell would ring already." Now here I am at 37 remembering that quote as I watch a KZread video from a time that I was "wishing away."

its very different today: kids and teens dont go home to small or big/fat TVs, VCRs and DVD players, no flip-phones or QWERTY cellphones, no snapchat/FB/Twitter/IG/smartphone talk, no dial up internet or very slow computers, no trying hard not to listen to what your sibling is talking about on their corded phone behind their closed door in their room, not having to share one or maybe two corded phones in the house, no CD collection talk, no asking a friend if you can borrow some CDs, not carrying around floppy disks or having to use them, no carrying around cameras with film then having to go drop it off somewhere to get it developed so on and so forth. So while technology has evolved, because of that evolution, the experiences from their predecessors are gone.
