I agree. The Philippines should not back down rather it should increase the pressure in the south China sea. Fill up all the 9 bases with military assets from US and it's allies and allow HIMARS and Typhoon missile systems to loiter around it's many island to keep the indo-pacific stait open.

At first Chinese said to the Philippines allowed them to have a temporary small shelter for their fisherman, Philippines agreed for humanitarian reason but years later China build an artificial Island and military base within Philippines water and now claiming it's their territory. How greedy can you be? Lol
