I'm born and bred South Auckland. This was quite interesting and enlightening. And damn girl you fine! Though I wouldn't of thought you were from Manukau Heights lol

We loved going to Manurewa in the 70s and 80s visiting friends and going to Karaka Bay..water skiing and eating smoked fish on the beach..

So as an outsider, what's so spooky about south Auckland?

@@chairmybowl835 low income + crime is exactly the same all over the world. some worse than others for sure. brazil def comes to mind. but south auckland is stereotyped as nz hotspot for crime. but certainly isn't as bad as its made out to be, its not even in the top 8 highest crime list, rotorua is #1. i believe the sense of community and the melting pot of cultures coming together is where the south has it beat compared to anywhere else in new zealand.
