Thank you for your honest, helpful and relatable vibe! We are in the process of emigrating from SA to NZ as well. It's such a rollercoaster of emotions and processes. Each time I watch one of your videos, I feel motivated again! It's so hard to pack up everything you've worked so hard for and to think about restarting but as you all mentioned, keep in mind the reason, and our child is the main one. Thank you❤

Hi Dunn Family! I am moving to New Zealand in the very near future. I am looking for a new community to join as this move will just be me by myself with no family or friends that side. Please could you help with providing support networks for people like myself that side, it would be appreciated
Regarding remuneration: salary scales for ALL teachers are set out on the Ministry of Education’s website. Not a difficult question to answer as it is the most important aspect of your decisions for moving to another country. New Zealand is known for one of the most expensive places to live! I am living here for the last 24 years. A $190 000 p/a income is way above average.

Great content with the start of the new year, thank you! Just a note, can you advise the areas that one can look at living with kids? Also, rentals more or less what the costs associated with rentals and utilities are?

You could live off 1 salary but depends on your lifestyle my dads salary is in the highest bracket at 180 to 200k don't know his exact earning and my mom is a stay at home mom we have been here 6 years and we bought a farm in oxford Canterbury but I do agree extra income from 2 people working helps even on the highest salary it's tough sometimes when you consider buying a house or a farm a food bills are crazy.
Thank you for always sharing with us a variety of experiences. If I may request. Single parent planning on coming over with a 16 year old. Could you possibly give some insights on what salary range to consider when consulting on employment opportunities. No support no family.

Hi Sam, thank you so much for watching and for commenting. I would really struggle to answer that because it very much depends on your lifestyle. I would say no less than 100k pa and that will allow for a decent life but not many luxuries, again very subjective and based totally on the life you want to live. Hey there from Gloomy Cape town . My wife and I are both radiographers(medical imaging technologists ) another Radiography branch similar to nuclear med ... and have both been approached by recruiters to go work in new zealand. My question is . .what should we negotiate our hourly rate to. Round about 45 to 50 dollars an hour or more. To be able to live comfortably... We currently in the talking faze with the recruiter.

Hi Ryan. That’s fantastic. Yes that sounds liveable - if you’re both working. Consider the other living expenses as well - particularly daycare. You can watch our expenses video to gauge some costs. But, it should be sufficient. All the best with your application!
