    Have you no idea that The manufacturing Hub of South Africa is in the East Rand. Literally. Even the largest airport in Africa boasts The East Rand as its home. Kempton Park Military Airspace is literally in the East Rand. And the East Rand is basically the Admnistrative capital of the country. All the administration that was supposed to take place in Bloemfontein really takes place in the East Rand. The East Rand was once part of Johannesburg. But because of its rivaling economy and its great importance they had to split the East Rand from Johannesburg and let it rule itself. Interesting Note: The East rand officially known as Ekurhuleni is the most crucial Municipality in the entire country. Go figure. Ask political parties why that is. There's a lot yourl still need to learn about how this country functions.

    Of course we shouldn’t forget the discriminatory history of Apartheid, but I’m pretty tired of the fact that this seems to be the first thing foreign people associate with our country. Our country has so much more to offer than the same old worn out discussions about the past. With programs such as BEE (Black Economic Empowerment) which has been in place since 1994, and an all black government and many heads of companies being black, and with an estimated population of about 60 million people in total in South Africa, of which, only 4,6 million is white (according to 2020 census estimates)... saying that only white people live in rich neighborhoods is actually pretty ridiculous. There is a much larger number of rich black South Africans. The fact that there is a massive problem with corruption, poverty, and violent crime in our country, is not in the hands of white people to stop, control, or prevent (although many try to, but most just live in fear). Try to tie the problems back to the past as much as you want... it won't change how terrible things are now and the fact that the people in power to change things, simply aren't doing it.

  • @consulargeneral8136

    So European and coloureds can take that rich part and make it a country no problem. I thought they wanted to devide the country into 20% which is too much its good they only want 1 % which is port Elizabeth in the cape regions etc... there are too many indeginous bantu speaking groups and subracial groups like sanbushman still living there that out populate foreigners 90% indiginous peoples to 10% foreigners 9as to 1 9:1 in places like cape town. So a little European country like 10 000km2 found in the southern most part of africa no problem then all we africans in the north have to do is build a north korea style wall to devide the country with it's northern neighbour easy as pie.

    What sbout the unbridled corruption of the current ruling party, even thier own people/minions do not matter and they keep blaming Apartheid. Even heard of some indiginous saying Apartheid times were better than the current situation. Talking of Apartheid Rhodes and co already set thecstage for that and Saint Gandi was also know to have practiced it. Do some research and see the truth.

  • @SkyeAten

    @SkyeAten

    It's been 30 years! Are you saying after all that time the government still can't fix this apparent "fallout" you speak of? People have a choice, right now, how to live. Are you going to have 10 kids you can't afford, or are you going to send one kid to school so they can build a life? That isn't anyone else's responsibility or fault. I see so many homeless kids on the street, and that is not because of 30 years ago. That is because their parents, at the present time, decided to have kids without precaution. It doesn't have anything to do with what happened 30 years ago. And aren't the people in government, *right now*, the ones stealing from poor people with their rampant corruption? Aren't the gangs killing people, stealing, and r*ping the real problem? RIGHT NOW? How does that tie back to Apartheid of 30 years ago? And even if you can tie it back to the past (which you can't), it doesn't change the fact that the solution is in the present, the solution is now. In your hands. The ANC wants you to focus on the past so they can keep getting away with not doing their jobs and robbing the country blind.

    I have to disagree with your point on Johannesburg, EVERYONE knows Cape Town is the place to be. The floral kingdom you mention is only indigenous to the Western Cape province though which is another interesting point. So much diversity in a tiny region. Truly beautiful. I love my Fynbos. Sadly corruption is a MAJOR problem here and there are still pockets of radical racism (EFF) and a electricity issue that has persisted and worsened for 16 years so far and not likely to improve soon (also a product of corruption).

    Almost ALL White South Africans are unreformed Racists. Even Australians, New Zealanders find White South Africans neo-Nazi like in their attitude. Given the history of European Colonialism and Apartheid; that legacy and White South Africa's racism is the reason South Africa remains the most unequal society on earth based on race. Yet, you singled out a Black political party with 10% support fighting for fair and equitable Economic Freedom [EFF = Economix Freedom Fighters].
