In the absence of this channel, giving us authentic African American exposure, our perception of African American would have only been limited to the images of Rihanna / Beyonce (slay Queens) and Lil Wayne types of blacks. This channel has exposed us to authentic people like our own parents and siblings and it is beautiful.. The ladies are motherly and conservatives like most of our mothers and this is just beautiful in my eyes

It’s because Hollywood, assigned specific stereotypes for each group in America. Hispanic-Americans are portrayed as feisty and wild. Black Americans men are portrayed as gangsters and Black American women are portrayed as either angry or over sexualized.

Someone said African Americans are the chameleon’s of the African diaspora. He can definitely tell when someone is from Zimbabwe or from Haiti, but he said African Americans have the ability to look like any group in Africa.

shockingly so I mean the similarity is such a culture shock. Im beginning to wonder what the slave castle was doing in Cape Town. In my Surname history 1800 during the Nhlapo civil war when the weaker brother fled to Lesoto they were intercepted by British troop that captured the children and sold them. Ukuthi where we dont know.

@@UMLAZIKAZI there are a small amount of African Americans who do dna ancestry tests and it comes up as southern Bantu and then when they read the fine print, it says - primary taken from South African - Soweto
