He is a sage. Only a sage with that level of singular concentration can,all by myself play music for that long, with no interruptions. I think its unheard of in modern times. He has achieved a higher level of consciousness, he becomes oblivious to his surroundings. I am in awe. I want to reach that state.

There is another artist Tash Sultana who plays without breaks for a long time. I think it's a common thing for musicians. Many good rock bands can do 30 minute solos and such. What your refering to is the flow state that many artists achieve. It's not some spiritual achievement due to prayers fasting or meditation however.

The thing is, I was at his 'concert' in London and a lot of people were filming this with their smart phones. One of them was right in front of me and he wouldn't put his phone down. It got very disturbing so I closed my eyes and actually had a better experience of the music. And eventhough I was a little angry at him, after the concert, I kept checking KZread for the videos of the concert people filmed with their smartphones, especially the lulaby Estas played for us at the end. I was truly grateful for the soul who filmed that lulaby 💚

That is my sentiment too, I'm 75 this april 24th the same as his birthday. he will be 44. I'm so fortunate to see this and Hear since I discovered him last June, Now I've bought all his CDs and downloaded 188 youtubes of him, I am so lucky, I am a combat Vietnam vet with severe ptsd and I went through 8 years of treatment and no more nightmares and flashbacks and for dessert I can now enjoy Estas gift to all of you and me. ​@@ctripps1224 If he has anger, nightmares, flash backs, Just ask him. If he says yes, He might need to write it all down and not tell anyone except to the notes he writes to himself. It is very hard to do and took months for me, Very hard to write it. BUT, it was the best for getting that monkey off my back. Not therapy with a noncombat psych, but just my notes to me. My wife, sees a big difference, now and for the past 11 years . Estes is playing (writing) his music to himself, it is his and ours therapy, the public. I seam to think he is working out his own therapy, for some reason of the past.

@@mikevallee3916 I don't know, but I do know he almost killed somebody, or pulled a gun or something and had to go to court. Psychologist said it was some sort of PTSD episode.

It makes me feel as if I'm a lonely traveler surrounded by sublime scenery. :-)
