X600 definitely had more clear bass and better details than the homepod. Absolutely amazing

I have the x600 and I got it early for $150! It's the best speaker I've heard for $150. Deep bass and clear highs. Spatial makes a lot of difference! You have to hear it❤ good video 👍

I have soundcore mini and love the 360 dispersed sound. Is x600 quite well dispersed ?

Onyx Studio is still my favorite portable speaker, minus and design and connectivity.

Soundcore is killing it. I have their Sport X10 earbuds. Great sound comfort and I charge it only once a week.

I bought two homepods and apple tv to try out the whole ecosystem.. It’s sounds bad, can’t hear clearly below 50% and muddy after 50%, like noise.. I bought X600 yesterday, and wow it’s good, I prefer X600 than 2 homepods any day.. Just a note that X600 is front facing and can hear slight difference when moving but dang it’s good.. The homepod is 360, you can hear consistent muddy sound wherever you are, thanks apple

Curious how this compares to some of the Bose SoundLink speakers, like the Flex or Mini II

I once thought about buying one, since I’m already using iPhone and iPad. But I could neither connect my tv nor any of my guest’s phones with it, since it doesn’t even support Bluetooth. Am I supposed to by a speaker for any possible use case and to run 2 or 3 different speakers next to each other because Apple’s connectivity is a disaster…? So it’s never gonna be a HomePod.

How much in Saudi real money, thank you.

Great sounding Bluetooth speaker systems don't cost as much as older systems such as the Harman Kardon Go& Play. Plus, most people are not going to spend as much money for a good Bluetooth speaker system anymore. There are many more companies out there competing for your money and producing damn good products which cost less money since the technology has advanced over the years. I understand how we can feel about the older systems which we bought many years ago. I still have an Altec Lansing IMT 810 from about 2010, which still works perfectly and it still sounds amazing - it's not Bluetooth capable, and needs to be plugged in directly, but I still use it regularly. And BTW Harman Kardon's Onyx Bluetooth speakers sound incredible as well. I have a family member who has the Onyx 4, and the sound quality is FN incredible.

Bit of a biased and misleading title and video if it’s sponsored. Understood that your review is meant to be unbiased despite the sponsor but to title a sponsored video “Best portable speaker ever?” will just misinform and mislead many viewers who don’t know any better about audio. Also another criticism is you compare this speaker to the homepod despite them being completely different types of speakers. Would it not be a better comparison to compare it to actual competitors like LGs meridian speakers or JBLs charge series or ultimate ears book series instead of a speaker meant to be kept at home. I hope this criticism is taken constructively as I usually enjoy your videos but this seemed like a bit of a money grab and suck up to anker with unfair comparisons and sweeping statements of it being the best without even mentioning other competitors (perhaps due to the t&cs in the sponsor).

To my ears the Homepod sounds a little better especially in the bass but not 2x the price better. Also like you said the Anker can connect with just BT so you don't have to go through all the hassle when you just want to use a Homepod to listen to music and not use Siri which i don't use with my Homepod mini.

I have a homepod and it's basically e-waste. It cannot act as a bluetooth speaker which renders it useless.

This is a detail that buyers of a HomePod should be aware of. It’s the main reason I’m not gonna buy one, even if it’s price seems fair and I’m using iPhone and iPad. I’d have to buy a different speaker for guests for Bluetooth streaming anyway. So it’s much more reasonable to buy a different speaker right away.

I looked at these many years ago and was going to by a Beats Pill+ but then they recalled them and took them off the market. I have a hard time justifying these because I mainly use headsets these days when outside because I'm not often in places where I have a large outdoor space to ourselves where sound wouldn't affect other people. Even if only marginally. That said, I really like the handle design of the Anker at the beginning of the video. I'm a big fan of Anker products and put the Anker into my Amazon wishlist and I'll just leave it there in case I can find a use for it in the future. I wish that you would do more accessory videos when there isn't a lot of Apple news and stuff. Cables, flashlights, power banks, hubs, etc.

I got a Soundcore flare a few years ago and I have no complaints, the battery life is fantastic and it sounds really good, the only thing that I am not a fan of is the micro usb port for charging, but I only have to charge it every month or so, it’s not a big deal.

I have quite a few problems with this review. Some information is missing for me (battery, ability to combine two devices,…). Next: it should be compared to the more popular options. I am currently using a jbl charge 5 and many I know use the bigger model. Home pod isn’t catering to the same market.

Great look into this speaker but that's some god awful music you tested it with.

Best sounding portable speaker ever is one of the Vifa lineup, probably the Helsinki... Maby you should check it out since nothing in the past 5 years comes close in sound quality because of incredible engineering behind it, push-push woofers like Devialet and actually natural and smooth tuning

The bass actually sounds pretty good, especially at lower volumes. Impressive for the size. If you raise the volume to 80-100%, the highs start to take over the bass, but still sounds good overall.

My SoundCore Sport has an annoying issue where if I accidentally use Siri on the iPhone, the audio stops playing and I have to power-cycle it and reconnect to get it working again.

Shouldn't you disclose that this is a sponsored video in the title? It would add more context as to why you are covering this speaker. Understand that you have to make a living and you do that from the channel.

come on max, this isnt the best portable speaker ever. and saying hear the difference on and off you dont seem to realise the two modes have different tuning. stereo mode has a rolled off high to make the spatial audio sound better than it is. you really just read off their specs largely. love your photography reviews but this was a bit lacking and too reliant on soundcores specs. for example you have lead people to believe that they will hear highs up to 40khz. there is nothing recorded or playing at 40khz and hearing tops out at 20khz so that was not good.

The workaround to convert all Bluetooth speakers to AirPlay that I find works beautifully is to pair it with a WiiM mini, since the volume controls are correctly synced from AirPlay through the WiiM mini to the speaker.
