Sound System Setup

Sound System setup video for Liberty Baptist Church of Ba Town, Fiji.
Update - wow, I never guessed that this little video would have so many views. While this video was made for a very specific situation, I'm glad it has been helpful to several other people!
By the way, Yamaha has a newer version of the Stage Pas 400i, the Yamaha StagePas 400BT. The new version includes Bluetooth! Several people have asked about the piano setup and certainly you can use a stereo cable into channel 5/6 for your keyboard if you wish.
Thanks!
Tim

    This is by far the best explanation I’ve found for the Yamaha PA systems, and it really gives me great confidence to buy one of these for my community center. Thanks! I have been looking at this stagepas for a while , as im getting older and my gear is getting heavier 🤣 never seem to get a live band playing and demonstrating any gear these days so bit concerned that this would be up for the job but to be fair you are a great explainer and i have learned a lot ,we are a three piece harmony band playing too up to a 50 something more , we have alway sang through 15inch speakers which alway give us a warm blend of harmony. Just wondering what your opinion would be on us buying this set up, i guess it wont be as good to what we have now but i guess its sacrificing i little sound quality or sacrificing my back🤣

    Yes, you will lose some low end by switching, however you could add a smaller subwoofer to compensate if you want using the monitor output. I would check out some of the sub /column speaker systems as well. (Like Turbosound Inspire IP500 or similar) The heavy stuff stays on the ground that way. 😆

    If your PC has a line in you can use a 1/8" stereo to 1/4" dual mono cable. Google "Hosa CMP-153" If not, try the Behringer Line2USB. In either case simply plug the 1/4 plugs into the "Monitor Out L and R" and the USB or 1/8" stereo in to the laptop.

  • @proclaimav4197

    That would depend on your Behringer system and if your television has a line level output. A lot of newer televisions only have a digital output (normally optical) so you would need a converter box to change it to RCA line level output. If your Behringer system only has 1/4" line level inputs you could use an RCA to 1/4" stereo cable to patch in to the Behringer system. Hope that helps!

    Is there an FX for monitors on this mixer ?

  • @proclaimav4197

    @proclaimav4197

    Unfortunately, no. FX are very limited on this one. I just did a review of the Mackie ProFX16v3 which will let you add the onboard FX into all three monitor mixes.

    It doesn't have a built in USB interface. You can use the Monitor Out to connect to a separate USB interface.
