Amazing performance of uncle Henk, Floor is very proud of him! Henk is een opera singer and played the roll of the Phantom of the opera in the Netherlands and Germany. De Beste zangers is an Dutch show.

As others have said, Henk is a classical trained singer from the Netherlands. He mostly does opera and musicals. He was the Dutch Phantom for years. Here he sang the Sound of Silence specially for Floor and he learned to use distortion in his voice for this performance.

Henk was/is an opera singer who has also performed in musicals. He was the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera and considered by Andrew Lloyd Webber to be one of the best. Floor Jansen saw him when young and became a huge fan and this was her reason to come on the show. Of course for her it was a huge success as so many of her countrymen at last got to see her ability and her recordings of various songs from the show rocketed up into the playlists. Subsequent to that she was asked to take part in the German version called Sing Meinen Song where she had to talk and sing in German. Again a massive success.

I truly enjoy Henk's version. He's got a great voice, but my personal preference is Disturbed's live version.
