He had been a farmer in a far away village for a long time before becoming a white collar worker in a big city. He always looks like a guy down to earth. When asked why, he said he had once made great efforts to change himself but all failed, he really didn't know how not to be down to earth. 😁
Thank you sir I started to enhance my skills, especially I wanna be advance speakers

Great lesson Harry! I have a question. Do you ever happen to use 'sensitive' with a positive spin? Like in "he is a very sensitive and empathetic guy and knows how to cheer up a friend who is getting through a hard time"
@LearnEnglishwithHarry
Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes, the word "sensitive" can be used with a positive connotation, especially when referring to a person's emotional intelligence and empathy towards others. In the example you provided, "sensitive" is used to describe a person who is emotionally perceptive and can understand and respond to the feelings of others in a caring and supportive way.
I guess that Was nive Video! Thanks a lot!Neue subscriber!👏🙏🇩🇪

Is patronising means to be bossy. I did not understand the sample you give in the lesson.
@LearnEnglishwithHarry
Жыл бұрын
No, being patronising is not the same as being bossy. Both behaviors involve acting superior and looking down on others, but they have different meanings. When someone is patronising, it means they act like they are better than others and treat them in a way that makes them feel small or unimportant. It's like they think the other person is not as smart, capable, or valuable as they are.
Superb

It would be such a waste of adjectives if we couldn't use any of them.
