I totally understand, if I could wish myself an instrument of any kind, it would be a Nord Stage, no question! Those Swedes have put it damn good together!

+fabian barbin Do you mean the Nord Electro 5 D? I just bought the 73 5 D. The stage is a all needs synth compare to my electro 5 which is meat potatoes : solid organ piano, and ep's . Note you can add samples through layers. I'm currently sampling from Reasons and Omnisphere time consuming but check out my page in coming weeks I will have my samples demo..through splits, and layers !

I just purchased a Nord and humbly ask that if you could give what settings (piano, organ, synth) etc you are using on each song.... that it would help so much... You do a fabulous job. Finding the right "sound" for each song for me is the most difficult part. Great job and thanks so much! Like Super Tramp, Stevie Nicks, and Bruce Hornsby...

Freedom1Seeker Hello!. Congrats on the purchase. Funnily enough i can't remember for the life of me what i used for each demo, however... the artists your mention, from memory are onboard sounds that come with the Nord Stage 2. The Phil Collins sound for example is a patch/sound i downloaded from the Nord User forums website. You've made a good point, and from now on i will mention the sound(s) used in the tracks i do. I will add though, this is the first mash-up i have done that uses a variety of sounds.. normally i stick to the one sound ! :) If you'd like further info, send me an inbox message.

+Mark Williamson some of these sounds are on the nord user forum, the rest are on board as factory presets.. there only three or four demo's here that use the patches from the nord user forum

Hello Jack, Yes this was actually a "patch/Sample/Program file" i found on the norduserforum website. Users of the forum often create their own unique presets/samples and share these for free. There is a section on there i am pretty sure that is where i found that patch. I have a feeling the "samples" or sounds were already on the Nord Stage2 as a default however the "preset" settings and how the sound is shaped is in the program file that was available on that website... if that makes any sense. ? www.norduserforum.com i think

+Tazty Kake there are some amazing VST's out there and i may be old fashioned to an extent, but for me I prefer to adjust and control sound on the actual synth itself, however with a VST often there are much more options of control not possible on a synth. its really down to your own opinion i guess, nearly every video i have done on the Nord is a mixture of both. 1 x Audio Track capturing a AIFF/Audio track from the Nord, live.. and i have also armed a software track using a VST as an overlay which adds a little more depth to my sound. I have kind of made my own signature sound mixing both at once .. :)

what's the sound used during The Way It Is?

why does this keyboard have gajillion knobs to complicate its appearance.. ??? you seem to do fine only touching the volume and the sound selector knob :)

Well, on a PSR, the drop down menu and all selections are within one screen... My point was, to make beautiful beautiful music, we just need 1-3 sounds :)

What's the difference between a Nord Stage 2 ex and stage 2 only

+Danny Vasquez I'm not totally sure of the exact comparison between specifications, however i think that one huge difference is the onboard storage capacity is greater on the newer EX model. I tend to use quite a few software synths that are included in Apple Logic X, so i tend to get by for now. I would love extra storage on my Nord though, it would be great. Im pretty sure its only around 500mb or 1000mb .. samples can vary in size but a good quality Piano Sample in high quality is around 300mb or more.

ok thank you I'm just trying find the exact best Nord keyboard that would be more suitable for praise & worship in my church.. for example, worship Pads, Fender Rhoads, Deep Purplish organs, Steinway quality acoustic piano sounds & classic Mellotron sounds & user friendly with the most options in manipulating sounds. Yet affordable. I think I'm dreaming to big wouldn't you say?
