In 2005 and 2007, the Aachener Strassenbahn und Energieversorgungs AG (ASEAG) procured a total of eight Van Hool AGG 300 bi-articulated buses.
The buses were in service on the bus lines 5 and 45.
The two AGG 300 of the year 2005 were retired in 2018.
In 2019 the 2007 AGG 300 were retired.
In 2020, bus No. 231 was sold to Rheinland-Touristik Platz GmbH, Wesseling (Rhein-Erft district) (license plate 'BM-RT 305'). The middle section was removed, making the bus a Van Hool AG 300.
