In 2003 Bochum-Gelsenkirchener Strassenbahnen AG (BOGESTRA) procured a total of 11 Solaris buses of the rare Urbino 12 2nd generation.
The Urbino 12 replaced buses of type MAN NL 202.
In 2015 all Urbino 12 were retired and replaced by MAN Lion's City type NL 293 (A37).
