They turned our boy into a Bloodborne ninja but with the same crazy kicks.
I can't believe that's ProZD. He did such a good job with the voice I can't even tell it's him.
Damn this dude hasn’t been a playable character since Soulcalibur III which is released 15 years ago.
Man I'm liking the direction they went in with him! Of coarse he's way different from what he use to be. But he retains some of his signature moves from SE & SC1. This also separates him from Yun-Seong who for the longest time played too similar to him in my opinion.
ProZD just tweeted out that he is the English VA for Hwang. Pretty neat.
For centuries we have argued which is the superior group, Pirates or Ninjas but now we have the Pirate Ninja who is to be the bridge that unites us all.
Can we just give ProZD major props for his voice work here? I know it's only a sample but already I can tell he's done a fantastic job.

So this dude disappeared since SE/SC1 to master the ways of a ninja and come back as a badass ninja holding a piece of paper in between his fingers? Goddamn!

This is the best Soul Calibur entry in YEARS, I'm glad it's getting more support.
If you pay close attention near the end you can hear that Hwang's theme in this game is a remix of Horangi Arirang from Soul Blade😁🔥
ProZD is on the roll with his voice acting career, I'm so glad.
Hwang deserves this. He’s been benched for over 20 years. ( Not counting the guest character sc3 crap) Though he wasn’t one of my favorites back then, I’m so glad to see him return. Really gives me that old soul cailbur feel. Not to mention that design looks nice 👍

This confirms that Hwang was Assassin from Soul Calibur II all along.
Hwang fans seeing this live would have gone absolutely ballistic. I don't even actively play SC OR Hwang but this trailer got me hype
I felt chills when they started playing Hwang's old Soul Blade theme at the end of the trailer!
