I love how this trailer ends with the theme from SC2. That was my favorite SC theme by far.

All these positive comments....if only you knew! What was project Soul thinking at the time. You don't just replace characters that are well known. Replacing Taki alone was treason. If you saw the popularity poll for SC6 you would know that Taki is best girl and Setsuka ofc. You can add more characters, but don't take away the characters we know and love. Groh is a example of a addition done right.

This is a cool trailer! The "sidestep" moments look so epic here! The part with Astaroth and Patroklos at 1:57 is the best part of this to me. I am especially interested in Z.W.E.I. and Viola, and I can't wait to use them! Plus, I'm glad that two of my top favorites, Voldo and Astaroth, will still be in this.

@CiegeWolf I'm pretty sure Patroklos is voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, who also voiced Sasuke.

@TwiKnightYagami108 Shes working alongside with Z.W.E.I. and I think Viola might have lost her memories as Amy. Daishi said on his Twitter that at least one character would change fighting styles. Maybe Amy is under the name Viola and is using a claw and magical orb instead of a rapier? Anyways, LOVING the fighting style, can't wait to use her.~ :)

How can you not get excited while listening to the intro music of Soul Calibur II. I mean, c'mon, they could resonate on Ivy's ugly face for two minutes as long as that song plays and it'll always be cool.

I think this whole "17 years on" thing is really interesting, it reminds me of the transition from Tekken 2 to Tekken 3. With new characters filling in for some of the old.

Viola looks great. :) Is it just me, though, or does she fight a bit like Amakusa from Samurai Shodown? (the floating orb as a weapon, that sort of thing)

@jv2jfo Pyrrha is Sophitia's daughter, and as far as move sets go, her's is actually supposed to be a combination of Sophitia's and Cassandra's.

Can't wait to see Nightmare (He's already been confirmed by some of the developer's tweets). For now its cool to see Astaroth, closest thing to Rock's old play style left (before they ruined him in SC3).

@CiegeWolf Definitively going to be one of my favorite character too! Honestly his hair looked better in the Concept Art...but still not a lot of curly haired heroes these days so I'm happy! And it also probably means I can finally make a character that looks like me, seems like every character creator I've ever used assumes only straight hair and anime 'hair glue' styles exist

I'm really really looking forward to finding out more about ZWEI. There seems to have less info about him than anyone else, so he's really mysterious. When I first heard about the game, and saw the first promo material, I thought this was gonna be a complete overhaul of the series- new game mechanics, new story, and most importantly- new characters. I just found out that the characters are essentially all here, except for like 5 people. Grr.... They could've pulled more newcomers into the fight!

hoping those werent street fighter style ultras and stuff like that because i just never thought this series needed those and was glad they never existed. critical finishes were just a frilly touch that had fairly little effect on gameplay. also who was the magic ball chick she looks really fun

@TheBramaj okay you got me there but he is not as bad as maxi. kilik was overpowered but so were other characters Hilde or astoroth could get around kilik spammers. maxi spammers create an intentional lag and no character can get around it.

I DO like Taki... she was always a 10 :D Tira was kinda hot in a cute way in SC3 and hot in a femme fatale way in SC4. Xianghua was ok... not great, not terrible. Cassandra was really cute, but her constant whinging in combat was annoying as all hell... Oh dear... I seem to have shown too much of my nerd side... I apologize.
