i feel like they gave the narrator the profiles of the characters so the quotes reflect parts of the profiles of each/ showing of who they are. Which i love

I always loved the way sc2 narrator's said the character names.

everyone talks about morgan freeman or bret reynolds narrating their life... I want THIS guy to narrate my life.

There’s something about the S’s being over-accentuated that hits so right.

I love Xemnas being the narrator now but damn do I miss this guy. If both could narrate the next Soul Calibur game somehow I'd throw down money for it.

This narrator and Soul Calibur 2 game itself were by far THE BEST in the whole franchise. And also the BEST english voice casts.

as a fan of the game i mostly agree though there are some lines the English dub deliver in a way thats kind of off or bad (being from the early 2000s and all) but I'll def take those awkward deliveries over modern Anime Voice Acting they do now these days

I always loved these intros. It's like the narrator is telling a story of each and every character and scene and I always loved that about Soul Calibur.

As a kid I always used to wonder how they got onto some of the stages that had no walls, did they just leap across the gaps or something like that lol

​@@Howlingburd19 absolutely. The fact in his profile he was self taught adds to the uniqueness of his playstyle since hes also the ONLY character to guard, attack and grab with his back turned.

I love that each stage has the name of its song in the corner.

Classic!!! My favorite SC entry till this day.

Looking back at this, it really goes to show that the late 90s and early 2000s had a really high standard in voice acting. There are so many underrated ASMR quality actors we had back then. Nowadays, that would just pick any random KZreadr to Voice, a beloved character but most of the time that results in a level of cringe like there’s no tomorrow or a yesterday for that matter.

Huh! I never noticed there was more than one intro for each character!

These lines were always so dam funny, because the narrator does everything possible to not mention a character by name. So me and my friends usually laugh about the random qoutes about somebody's eyes lol.

well originally it was gonna be Cloud from FF7 but square fell out last minute. So they put in Heihachi from Tekken (similar to SC just a bit slower paced and barely any weaponry) because they needed to release the games soon and heihachi already had animations and moves they can just port over.

These lines were different than in the gamecube version... anyone know why?
